Again, you guys are complaining over stuff that hasn't even occured in the series yet.

Honestly, bringing back Buu isn't the same thing as bringing back Frieza, Cell and Broly. Buu is completely linked to Buu, and we haven't really seen Uub get too involved with Buu other than them fusing in GT. This is a great opportunity for Uub to step up.

And here's an advantage this has over Malik_DBNA's New Age (I stated the advantages I feel Absalon has over Toyble and Young Jijii's stuff, so why not mention New Age?): it actually maintains the significance of Goku's sacrifice in GT. In Malik_DBNA's New Age, Goku returns right off the bat and it's as if his sacrifice never even happened.

Using locations like South America here is also pretty random and unneeded, but I don't see how it'll even effect the story that much.

Can't say I'm surprised. He's basically copied the most generic material you can expect from any fanfic. Using palettes from an outdated MUGEN character just proves people's points even more.

As if one character design will make or break anything.

This "Nightmare" SS4 Broly design is about as unique as Gogeta's SS4, except that the hair could look more Super Saiyan 4-ish.

It hasn't even appeared yet.

Honestly I think the writing is what lets it down. As I mentioned earlier, I like the animation (although it's a little bizarre and inconsistent), were it better written I could get into it more.

I'm sick of most fanfic writers doing the same 'More Saiyans come to Earth story' and 'Broly comes back'.

If I had these talents I'd probably do my own unique story. Or something like a Freeza backstory.

Its a design based off a horribly overpowered MUGEN character than can basically one shot anyone else.

And again, ANOTHER project bringing back Broly and giving him Super Saiyan 4. It's been done to death at this point and from the get go, Broly is a crap villain to begin with. Theres nothing new or innovative from using the same villain again..and again..and again..

We still haven't seen how it's going to play out, though.

Bringing back Broly and giving him SS4 may be typical among fanworks, but it still hasn't been done in the actual series

As an animator I can appreciate the amount of effort that they've put in to this but I just hope this isn't being funded by kickstarter or any other crowdfunding websites because it's really not worth it IMO. If they're doing this in their own spare time then I have nothing bad to say as everyone should be allowed to make their own projects for fun but the story and ideas in this are quite poor.

I dont thibk it was necessarily FUNDED by kickstarter, but I know the Indiegogo posting he had for it was asking for the equivalent of around $13000

It got to around 820€ before it stalled out and he refunded it all (at least thats what he said he was going to do)

It hasent been done in the main series? Really...then what was Movie 8, 10, and 11? 3 movies, 3 movies that had Broly. He has died more than any other villain in DBZ, manga, movie, or anime wise. The only thing they haven't done is give him SSJ4 so yeah even when the official series overuses him, hes pretty much overused in every sense of the word, including fan projects. The only exception I take to Broly is in Toyble's series in where hes more or less making Broly a uneasy ally or anti-hero like Vegeta became in the Namek and Android arcs instead of the same old mindless screaming berserker he usually is.

Is it me, or did they rip off my OC, Kental? Aside from the hair, the Saiyan Goten fights looks a lot like him. Scar on left cheek, only one shoulder armor piece.

Which is why I bring this up. I wouldn't be surprised if they did use him in a attempt to "get even" for me giving Absalon constructive criticism.
