DVD Question?

Post by shenron002 » Sat Oct 26, 2013 3:53 pm

Hi, I own Dragon Ball Z DVD single "Frieza - Super Saiyan Goku"
There is a static ticking sound during the episode "Explosion of Anger" English Dub
I was wondering if my disc is the only one with it, or is it on all copies? Could someone check for me.
I might have to repurchase this disc, because I think mines faulty.

Have you tried playing the disc on multiple different players? It could only be an issue with the player you used.

That's precisely why ordinary men pursue the concept of perfection, it's infatuation. But ultimately I have to ask myself "What is the true meaning of being perfect?" and the answer I came up with was nothing. Not one thing. The truth of the matter is I despise perfection! If something is truly perfect, that's IT! The bottom line becomes there is no room for imagination! No space for intelligence or ability or improvement! Do you understand? To men of science like us, perfection is a dead end, a condition of hopelessness. Always strive to be better than anything that came before you but not perfect! Scientist's agonize over the attempt to achieve perfection! That's the kind of creatures we are! We take joy in trying to exceed our grasp, in trying to reach for something that in the end, we have to admit may in fact be unreachable!"

Yes I have tried, I also tried it on my PC, every way I play it, it has that static ticking sound. I know its a out-of-print DVD, but I prefer the dub because it hasn't been re dubbed yet, it reminds me of Funimation in it's early days.

Are you using headphones?

I checked my DVD and you can hear it at 100% volume. Around 50-60% voulme you can't really hear it.

okay thanks! Now that I know all copies have it, it'll save me money from repurchasing it. I guess I have to learn to live with it. Truth is it's for my "Project Box Z" I'm syncing Funimation DVD singles Audio with the Funimation Dragon Box Video.
