No problem. Stuff happens, hope your feeling better. Looking forward to the new page.Malik_DBNA wrote:Hey guys, I am sorry about the wait. On top of working through being sick, just being sick in general, training new hires at my job, and trying to fit time in with my gf, I've been really busy. I just needed a little time to get things squared away.
The next page is pretty much done. I have one more panel to pencil and ink, which I'll be saving for tomorrow. So, new page tomorrow.
Again guys, sorry about the wait.

The art has improved.
Re: Fanmanga - Dragon Ball New Age
I've read through the story so far, and I find it quite interesting!
Normally I'm not very fond of the SSJ 5 stuff, but I find myself enjoying this comic.
And the art, like said before, is very good!

Great art on the new page, but the way Gohan talks in the first panel makes him sound dumb...
Why does he say "On the ground" like that?

So, since both BoG & GT (though altered) are canon in you manga, how do you explain Goku not having the Super Saiyan God power from GT till now? Because Toriyama confirmed that Goku kept the power.
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.
Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

Welll he did make this before Toriyama said that statement. So...I guess he can alter BoG to make it so SSG wasn't kept. Or have a new plot thing which COULD be coolDBZGTKOSDH wrote:So, since both BoG & GT (though altered) are canon in you manga, how do you explain Goku not having the Super Saiyan God power from GT till now? Re: Fanmanga - Dragon Ball New Age
Still trying to get back into my routine hulkty. I'll be on my normal release schedule (Tuesdays and Thursdays) next week.
2) Because Goku's body just 'remembering' how strong he was as a SSJG is a flawed concept. If such were the case, his body should 'remember' how strong he is as a SSJ4 and always be that strong. I'm not keeping that aspect of SSJG.
3) As said by GMGoken, it was decided before this 'statement' that Goku kept his SSJG powers was made. I always hear 'statements' about new series, new movies, what's canon and what's not, yet all anyone ever gives me is misconstrued statements that barely acknowledge what they are saying.
4) Because both GT and BoG are altered, it is easy to simply write out that part.

You could say that Goku's small body made it hard for him to use it in GT.

The next thing to know is why nobody will ever use it. Unless you make sure there are never 6 pure saiyans around.
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

Re: Fanmanga - Dragon Ball New Age
Currently, there are not. Secondly, it was already established by me that Goku and Vegeta (the likeliest SSJG candidates) do not like relying on everyone else for power. SSJG also has a short fuse in terms of power. Its the same issue with fusing. Just because they can become an almighty force and waste you in the blink of an eye doesn't mean they will cop-out and use the form all the time. They like to rely on themselves.
Plus, I generally dislike the form. SO no SSJG.

Well if they are in a dire situation where it's SSJG or death, I doubt they would choose death. I can see them not abusing SSJG, but I see no reason why it wouldn't be used if it was absolutely needed.Malik_DBNA wrote:Currently, there are not. His body didn't "remember" the power, he "accepted" it into his body through the fight with Beers. I don't see any flaw in that, but I'm fine with it not being around.Malik_DBNA wrote:Because Goku's body just 'remembering' how strong he was as a SSJG is a flawed concept.
