Considering that this game will probably be just a domestic release, they don't really have much too worry about.

It's this kinda stuff that I'd love to see a release over here, but that pretty much locks it up over there.

Is there any hope for the 3DS to ever be region-free?

2013 - Year of Nostalgia officially confirmed.

With DBZ II - Evil Freeza, Super Butouden 2 and Pokemon X/Y, Pokemon Origins, and Megaman in SSB4 nobody can deny it.
All games of the past are suddenly being revived in many eyes.

Well done, developers

Y'know, I would totally pick this up... but hey, 3DS region-locking and all that jazz... Shame.

$40-ish is actually a great deal for many of these older DragonBall games.
Nothing matters (in a cosmic sense.) Have a good time.

No.
"I like the money it brings in, but Dragon Ball Heroes is the worst. That's actually the real reason I decided to start working on new material. I was afraid Bandai would make something irredeemably stupid like Super Saiyan 4 Broly." - Akira Toriyama, made up interview, 2013.

I guess that decision is made for me, then. Haven't been able to buy a 3DS yet, definitely not gonna get an extra one for japanese games.

Ditto. The only game on there that really interests me anyway is the Go Go Ackman one.

I have a nostalgic soft spot for the Dragon Ball 10th anniversary movie. Ditto the Buu saga.

I sent them an email about the music for Super Butoden 2 about a week ago. No answer.

It released already. So any videos of Super Butouden 2 gameplay?

Mine hasn't come in yet, and I don't have a Japanese 3DS yet anyway... sooooo... not from my side of things!

Next time Julian comes to the states, I'll be making sure he brings me one (no super huge rush from my perspective).

I have a Japanese 3DS but I can't be bothered to get the game. If they only were to release a bonus addition like Super Butouden 4 or something along, then I'd get it in an instant.
