Not sure if you based your voices off of dubs but those are GREAT! I love how you didn't use Goku and Vegeta's real voice actor as a based. I HATE IT when people do that it comes off as un natural. Only certain people can do it right(Like perfect Cell guy). The fandub went somooth and your Vegeta voice. GOT DAMN! That was a treat I wasn't expecting.

Only flaw in Goku was to Hero like. But still a great voice. Better than Mr Ian and Mr Kirby(2/3 of the Ocean Goku voices) Goku voices

Glad you liked it! : ) As far as direction goes, I tried to be closer to the Japanese in terms of characterization for Vegeta (I had more practice on him than Goku) and for Goku, I just tried to see what sticks while trying to keep in mind who Goku is. I do agree, it is a little too heroic. ^^; Maybe if I do more of Goku, it'll be less heroic. I think I just need to pull it back a little. I'll keep working on it, but I'm glad my voice works. And, as far as impersonations go, I think the problem is that some people focus too much on impersonating the voices rather than trying to become the characters. I've seen a few people pull it off (like LordCrehavos), but eh. I don't really mind them too much, though. That's just their way of doing things. They're just doing that just as a tribute to what they like and it's how they practice and its fun for them. *shrug* Me, I think it's more interesting when people try to do the characters their own way.

In a word, you had a great sense of flow- the dialogue was neither too quick or tripped over itself. That seems to be the one thing most fandubs just don't seem to get, and that the good ones (Abridged Series among them, I suppose), and you had no problem with it. Excellent job!

Can it really be helped? Imitating Nozawa in a way that sounds "right" in English is a rare feat!

I liked it. My favorite was the way you did Goku's battle cries, which sounded awesome, and the music you put in. My gripe though is that sometimes you don't pronounce some of the lines very clearly, more noticeably with Vegeta, who seemed to kind of slur some of his words. Overall, pretty decent.

Masako Nozawa and what I've heard of Mario Castañeda are really great at playing Goku without being too heroic. Hopefully one day I can pull that off.

I really dig your take on Vegeta! Your Goku's not bad, either. However, I have one very specific critique. I suggest you work on your articulation/enunciation. Sometimes, it seems like your words slur together and it becomes a big distraction from what is otherwise a wonderful performance. Seriously, please do more - at least of Vegeta.

Other than that, this was fantastic and I'm looking forward to seeing more work from you.

edit-looks like I got beat to it. That was really the only problem I had with this dub, though. Seriously.

Honestly, I don't even see why heroic is a problem in the context of a fight scene. Of course he's going to sound heroic when doing heroic things! If anything, I'd just concentrate on not sounding like that in just plain, every day situations.

EDIT: If anything, Goku sounds like he's straining himself too much, like in that one moment where there's one continuous "UUUUUUUUUUUHHHHHHHHH" while he's rapidly punching Vegeta in Kaioken.
