Vegeta's Missing Scar
Vegeta's Missing Scar
When Goku blasts Vegeta in the eye while he is in his Oozaru state, did anybody else ever think that Vegeta was going to have a permanent scar or should have had a permanent scar, especially when he says Goku scarred his face?
I thought for sure there would be some sort of mark when he got out of the healing chamber and went to Namek.

That's not his only missing scar.

A similar topic also pop up back in 2008
Here's him with scars
But later he doesn't have them

Most likely it's a design thing, I remember seeing the episode as well he's got scars all over his torso, but then in the Great Saiyaman saga where Vegeta is training in the gravity room topless, he's got no scars.

Plus, wouldn't scars, like other physical traits, carry over into fusions? Granted Gogeta is more or less a Toei creation (though I myself am not sure if Toriyama designed him at all), I wonder why we never see these scars on Gogeta?

On the subject of scars, I find it odd that Tien kept his from Tao Pai-Pai's knife, and Yamcha kept his scars from whatever he got them from when he was revived, yet Goku and Vegeta don't both have scars where the holes in their chests were when they died.

there were a couple of times in the manga where he was shown with scars. One was when he was asking Dr. Briefs to build him the 300 times gravity machine. Also, when he first stepped out of the healing tank before going to Namek (when he was shown fully nude from the back), I think he had some scars then, too (but I'm in the process of moving and my manga's all packed up, so I can't check). Trust me, I've looked over his nude/shirtless scenes plenty of times, I'm an expert in the field
I also noticed that GT took away his nipples, and gave him his clothes back after he went Oozaru....damn you, GT!

Tenshinhan & Yamcha kept their scars because their wounds healed naturally, they didn't heal through senzu, healing chamber, or Kami's power.Kamiccolo9 wrote:On the subject of scars, I find it odd that Tenshinhan kept his from Tao Pai-Pai's knife, and Yamcha kept his scars from whatever he got them from when he was revived, yet Goku and Vegeta don't both have scars where the holes in their chests were when they died.
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.
Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

I am only referring to the line that Vegeta says when Goku blasts him in the eye about "being scarred" and Goku specifically says he is giving Vegeta "something to remember me by"... that is it.

......This wasn't an argument nor a debate. Why did you get that feeling? I barely said anything. I just quoted from a 2008 topic that explain that Vegeta has many missing scars. I understand that you mean just the Oozaru scar. I was just showing that Vegeta should have scars but Toriyama and Toei forgot to draw them, animate them, or they both just didn't want Vegeta to have a scar. That's all I'm saying. Yes he should have a scar but he doesn't.Kakarot88 wrote:Bro still not arguing with you, you mentioned anime so I responded. That's totally my fault, I thought you were being snarky, completely misinterpreted your post. Well, back on topic, do you think he'd have looked better with a scar?TheGmGoken wrote:......This wasn't an argument nor a debate. Why did you get that feeling? I barely said anything. I think it could have added to the Vegeta / Goku rivalry because it'd be a constant physical reminder of KAAAAKAAAROOOOOT!!

Maybe yes,. Depend on how the scar looks. Though it would have been badass to have that added to Goku and Vegeta feud. Hell it would have made Majin Vegeta speeches so amazing. I can picture him saying "The scar on m face reminds me every day that I the Prince of all saiyans is inferior to a low class trash.".
Re: Vegeta's Missing Scar
Let's not go overboard with it, but can we get some fan art of what Vegeta would look like with an interesting scar over his eye? I'm thinking something simple, like Wrath from Fullmetal Alchemist. Or would it be more like Kakashi from Naruto?

It;s a Vegeta and Vegeta Jr compare. But seeing as Goku ki blast Vegeta's eye. I'm sure we can think his scar should have done something like this

Gotta be Wrath from Fullmetal Alchemist! It's just got that "blasted in the eye" look to it that would have been perfect!Tyro wrote:Let's not go overboard with it, but can we get some fan art of what Vegeta would look like with an interesting scar over his eye?
