Does anyone happen to know if Play-Asia will shoot you an email that your order has shipped? I only ordered it a day ago, but there are long periods of time where I'm at work and it'd help to have a ballpark of when I would get, and I can plan to be home or on my way home accordingly.

They send, like, three e-mails for every step of the way on an order. It's kinda bizarre. You'll definitely know when it's on its way.

I'm betting that they will pick up the rights to the movie next year. They tend to get the rights to movies a year after they are released in Japan. Don't worry about it since it will be here before you know it.

Well, I pre-ordered on yesasia and complained they left no current status of my order.
This morning, around 2am (Eastern Standard Time), they sent me a reply and confirmed that it's been shipped out on the 23rd. So my guess is, VegettoEX, they sent out your copy too.

What in the sweet hell is taking Funimation so long to dub this movie?

It hasn't even been a year since it first hit Japanese theaters. It takes a good amount of time for these movies to be localized. I wouldn't expect a dub release for at least another year.

I'm surprised that the flap cover is completely different from the bluray disc case. Flap case has Goku in that invisible driving pose. Inside disc case is basically just the Chinese version of movie poster.

I didn't verify my email address on my account until just a few hours ago, and thought that may have genuinely screwed something up with my pre-order, since you need to have a verified email to make purchases. I wanted to let them know/ask about it. They just wrote me back.

I'm pretty sure, though, that the Japanese Blu-ray had the exact same cover variance between slip cover/case cover.

One thing I am disappointed with is the lack of any special features.
I'm informed that its just the movie itself. Not even a single trailer included. But I do wanna see the cantonese dub since I speak cantonese. Wondering if they got tvb's dbkai actors for this dub.

And speaking of tvb, they just started "attack on titans" last night! Downloading first episode dubbed in cantonese and try to check the 2nd episode next weekend as it airs next weekend.

Same here, that's very strange. I hope nothing goes wrong here. I've ordered from YesAsia before with a Visa debit card and I don't really remember if anything like this has happened before, just got my packages about a week or so later and the money was taken as it should be, I just don't remember if the money took a while to go...

I'm considering ordering this on Blu-ray. Since it's Region A, I'm assuming it would work on North American Blu-ray players? I'm guessing it does, but I just want to be sure, since some DVDs/Blu-rays have misleading labels (My Tales pre-order DVDs claim to be Region 2 but work perfectly on all my North American players.)

It's not slacking off. As rumored Boo Arc will be made in 2014(The topic is on the website). However rumors are rumors. The JPN cast haven't finish dubbing Boo Arc for all we know. We can't expect them to come out instantly as BoG just came out and Boo Arc Kai.....is well.. being delt with.

Not really. BoG is FOX's product, so if anything, FUNimation is slowing FOX down from bringing it over here. As you can see, South America and parts of Asia are just running away with it.

It is also astounding the people just don't get that they're not supposed to know the Buu arc of Kai is happening. It's like bitching "where's my new DBZ movie?!" in 2011.

We will likely get the rights to the film in another year or two. If you guys can wait 10+ years for DBZ Movie 1-13 to come out in the US then a year or two should not be a issue. Besides, I doubt Fox in the US cares about this movie since they don't seem to care about the DB franchise in the first place. They ignore DBE in their movie promos for selling DVD's and Blu-Rays or don't even make fun of it in their comedy shows like The Simpsons or Family Guy. Even the Simpsons made fun of The Last Airbender in Treehouse of Horror XXI .
