Best price for weekly jump
Guys I've been looking around trying to get back issues of weekly jump this is of course insanely hard but was wondering how much do you think the price of weekly jump 1984 #51 would be worth about now? Also I'd totally appreciate any tips on helping me find really old back issues!

I've seen that particular issue auctioned for tens of thousands of yen (hundreds of dollars). Collectors know what's in it, and pay accordingly.Gojira wrote:Guys I've been looking around trying to get back issues of weekly jump this is of course insanely hard but was wondering how much do you think the price of weekly jump 1984 #51 would be worth about now? I think the most useful tip I can give you is to look exactly here:Gojira wrote:how much do you think the price of weekly jump 1984 #51 would be worth about now?

This particular issue isn't sold there right now, but do not worry. I've been observing Yahoo! Japan Auctions almost everyday for the past 3 years, and I can honestly say an auction with Issue No. 51 from 1984 appears every 3 months at worst (mostly it appears even often). I've seen it last time in October so you can expect an auction with it pretty soon on the site I gave you the link to.
As for the price of the issue with the first Dragon Ball chapter, the highest price I've for the magazine was around 380 dollars! The cheapest price for Issue 51 was around a 100 dollars (the highest bidder won in at around 10 000 yen). So I presume you just won't find it for less than a hundred bucks. And even for that kind of money, there are sometimes some faults within the issue:
The table of contents in this issue should normally look like this:

And I've seen it once relatively cheap - at around 150 dollars I think - looking like this:

Goku has no eye..... So all in all I think it's worth to pay for example 50 dollars more to get a nicer copy than a cheaper but more flawed one. Good luck!
