There was an omake in volume 1 which details how she wanted to give Cell a PP Candy instead of a Senzu Bean and he crapped out 17 and 18 in "pee pee" induced diarrhea, and that her editor turned it down.
That would be an excellent call back, I love it. It seems I've underrated Ooishi.

Scanned and translated version of the omake:
Put this together myself just now, I assume it's fine since it's only a single page?

This is SD canon for me.

Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

SD is a gag manga, so I don't view as apart of the series unlike Jaco.

Jaco is a gag manga as well, and Dragon Ball is partially a gag manga.

Until you bring a plausible argument for why you consier Jaco to be SD-canon, I honestly don't think anybody cares.

I was talking about the Cell & PP Candy being SD-canon.

I don't see how this is even a discussion, or why this post is made so borderline-rude.

Someone thought it was funny and wants to consider it a bit of head-canon within one specific spin-off series. Great. That's awesome. Why is everyone jumping all over this?

Definitely more interested in this upcoming SD content than I am with what SD regularly is. The same goes for the omake stuff about Cell taking a PP pill. I want to like SD, but just with what it's been doing so far...meh.

Because supposedly you want people to care about whether it's in your SD-canon or not, as otherwise you wouldn't have made the post to begin with... Right? It's a good practice to bring an argument.

It was a subtle way (so subtle that it's caught VegettoEX's attention) to ask for an argument, because it's heavily implied that PP Candy is not the scenario that supposedly happened in SD.

It eventually didn't happen in SD, but it would have happened. It's like a deleted scene from a movie, and since it's what the author wanted to add, I would like to replace the final scene (which is what we also saw in the original manga) with that one in my head-canon.

And don't throw me the "Toriyama also intended #19 & #20 to be the main villains", this is completely different.

Oh, I didn't realize you had no argument in the first place, and just went the "I like it, so it's canon to me" route.

Looks like the spine art for 2014 #1–12 will have Ooishi depicting Goku's growth. I'll check it out myself when I get back to where my copy of this month's issue is.

Eh, just the spine art? I'm hoping it's actually more than that, but probably not that lucky, I guess...

Could you not pick fights with people, please? It was obvious from the start that this wasn't meant to be a serious discussion of "canon", just showing that he liked it a lot.

For the record, it was the only part of the volume that made me laugh out loud when I read it. Ooishi excels where she's not forced to adhere to a predetermined story (see: her recent bonus chapter in October's V-Jump).

Bulma, who appeared this time, later played a variety of roles later on in Dragon Ball, but in your setting, Sensei, what did Tights do after that?
It’d be bad if got into a tough spot later on by saying that much, so I’ll go without answering.
Could it be that Tights is... dead?
