Oh my GOD....

Post by laserkid » Sun Mar 21, 2004 11:15 pm

I never thought I'd find a DBZ music video that had the kind of power and oomph that "Eden" (A Trigun AMV thats easily one of my fav AMVs) had but I was wrong. I just can't say enough good things about this video, and well, see for yourself ^^;;;

I think most people already know about this video... Considering it's on Daizex' ''DBZ AMV Guide''. ^^''

But yeah, it's pretty good. Can't say it's the ''best ever'' or anything, though.

I did quite like it, although I wish they'd encoded the sound at a higher bitrate. It sounds like a 92kbps mp3, and I can't STAND them. Nor can I stand people who can't tell the difference between that and a 192 one. They should die.

The English voices are well used, and add to the overall feel. And good job with hiding the background music too, which I can't imagine is easy. Unfortunatly, the lip-syncing parts with Goku are unintentionally hilarious. Bad, bad, bad idea. Bad.

But, overall, quite nice.

It's not up there with "Fathers And Sons" though. That's the best DBZ music video...nay...the best anime music video ever. Ever.

Great video.

I don't really like having those english voices there... they might have come at the best times, but i still found it annoying.

The only real problem I had with it was that I don't listen to that type of music... and obviously that doesn't insult the video in the least.

I HATE English voices in DBZ AMVs. It only shows what a dubbie-ish n00b one is. That's right, I said it! *runs away*

Hey! I'll gladly watch dubbed Pokemon. And you should talk Mister "Everybody Else Is the One With the Accent to Me, Because I'm British and Our Speech is Perfect". :P

Ooh, another heated argument I've chosen not to take part in. Better get some chips... or at least some barbecued peanuts. :)

Oh ya Zacko, like I've never seen you insult Psyliam! If memory serves me correctly, weren't you the one who once said he was "as sexy as a rock"?! Or was that Dayspring? Hmmmmmm. Well, anyway......Oh my point still stands anyway!:P

Where has he gone do you think? Must be on a secret "annoying Fangirl Hunting" mission! That jerk! He didn't even let me in on it! :P
Anyway, I'm still not a "snobby anime nerd".

I actually have to disagree I really felt touched by the english dialogue used here, the first instance of it was very heart wrenching. The rest was overdoing it a bit granted but that first one grabbed me.

I agree, though-- I absolutely hated the voices and lip-synching stuff in My Resolution. It's what stopped it from becoming an absolute favourite.

And yes, I also think English voices used overall in AMVs (Except if it's the song, of course..), do suck. But then... Why don't Japanese ones? OR DO THEY?!

I don't like voices AT ALL in music videos.

The whole point is to tell your OWN story; not the same story as the one in the damn show. If you can't tell something new, then what's the point? I think I somewhat touched on that point in my little mini-review ^^;;.
