I was talking about Piccolo not sensing Gohan's & co. powers from Kaio's Planet but anyway. Still, Piccolo only mentions 3 huge kis, not 3 weaker or stronger than him kis.

Piccolo says in both shitlations of the manga & FUNi subs that he is rushing to help the kids, not save them.

Even still, he has to be in the same tier IMO.

I think I'll agree on that (I have to think about it a little), but hundreds of thousands isn't in the same tier.

Re: The Official Unofficial Power Levels Thread
Why not? Gohan and Krillin need to be that high to be of help against a 530K opponent. Piccolo says he will help too meaning he is in the same tier.
Krillin: 200,000
Gohan: 250,000
Piccolo: 300,000
I will roll with that.
Think about it this way:
Ginyu tier: 40,000 - 120,000
Freeza Tier: 180,000 - 530,000
Krillin: 200,000
Gohan: 250,000
Piccolo: 300,000
I will roll with that.
Think about it this way:
Ginyu tier: 40,000 - 120,000
Freeza Tier: 180,000 - 530,000
Re: The Official Unofficial Power Levels Thread
Piccolo after his Kaio training is stronger than Nail. I would say he is around Ginyu bit nowhere near Frieza. Nail says Piccolo would get beaten and Frieza was at half power vs him IMO

Krillin and Gohan were 20,000 - 30,000 at that timeZombie wrote:Why not? Gohan and Krillin need to be that high to be of help against a 530K opponent. Piccolo says he will help too meaning he is in the same tier.

Re: The Official Unofficial Power Levels Thread
Nope, Gohan and Krillin are stated to have gotten stronger by Vegeta. They also got stated to be of help against Freeza (530K). How are people with 20-30K PL suppose to help fight Freeza?
No where is it stated Freeza only used 50% against Nail. What Nail said is if Piccolo fused again (Which will double his power, stated by Guru) he will be able to beat Freeza.

Frieza was not powered up vs Nail and Gohan and Krillin vs 23,000 GinyuZombie wrote:Nope, Gohan and Krillin are stated to have gotten stronger by Vegeta. They also got stated to be of help against Freeza (530K). How are people with 20-30K PL suppose to help fight Freeza?

Yes but no where was it stated it was only using half.Kakashi wrote:Freeza was not powered up vs Nail and Gohan and Krillin vs 23,000 GinyuZombie wrote:Nope, Gohan and Krillin are stated to have gotten stronger by Vegeta. So two 20,000 - 30,000 can help against a 530K guy. OK...
Re: The Official Unofficial Power Levels Thread
I said IMO. Krillin and Gohan struggled vs 23,000 Ginyu. Even if they are stronger they can't be stronger than Ginu tier. Krillin was peeing in his pants when Frieza powered up. They can help to distract him so Vegeta can winZombie wrote:Yes but no where was it stated it was only using half.Kakashi wrote:Freeza was not powered up vs Nail and Gohan and Krillin vs 23,000 GinyuZombie wrote:Nope, Gohan and Krillin are stated to have gotten stronger by Vegeta. Re: The Official Unofficial Power Levels Thread
Tenshinhan showed up to help against Evil Boo. You don't need a certain power level to want to help someone, and Nail straight up tells Piccolo he'll be killed by Freeza if he doesn't merge with Nail.
I'm re-watching Dragon Ball GT in full on my blog. Check it out if you're interested in my thoughts on the series as I watch through it!

Re: The Official Unofficial Power Levels Thread
That example doesn't really fit. Ten used a special technique to block an attack. Piccolo sensed all powers involved and still thought he could actually help them win, just because of the power he gained in that week. He never said anything like "Oh no, I THOUGHT that I'd powered up massively, but it turns out even Krillin is several times stronger than me!". I don't see how any of this fits without some serious Piccolo-hax from a week of training.Saiga wrote:Tenshinhan showed up to help against Evil Boo. Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

Re: The Official Unofficial Power Levels Thread
It still doesn't place Piccolo in the hundreds of thousands, it only places him in the dozens.
For the power-up being so huge, I guess we could explain it from running through the Serpentine Road for a month, and the fact that Piccolo can train almost all day since he is dead, plus that Kaio's training gives an incredible power-up.
As for Gohan's & Kuririn's power, I don't buy that they went from over 10.000 to hundreds of thousands in a few hours. Yes, their power was rising over time, but not to that point. Besides, Kuririn is officially at 75.000 during the battle with Freeza, and Gohan is at 200.000 after his near-death power-up with Freeza.

Krillin is 75,000 after he was healed by Dende and so is Gohan. Prior than that, they are just 20,000-30,000 range IMODBZGTKOSDH wrote:It still doesn't place Piccolo in the hundreds of thousands, it only places him in the dozens.

What's the point, then? Him being in the dozens of thousands is only very slightly less improbable than him being in the hundreds of thousands. Him having made any noticeable gain at all is. So why insist he's not?DBZGTKOSDH wrote:It still doesn't place Piccolo in the hundreds of thousands, it only places him in the dozens.

I have no problem with him being 400,000 now. Not like it matters at all.
