I remember following Budokai 3 on the internet loads back in 2004. I'd frequently visit sites like Dranet.com, secretsaiyan.com, myfavoritegames.com and amarsdbzn always excited to see any new updates. Unfortunately all of those sites are now closed down. I remember seeing a fake picture of Golden Oozaru fighting Cooler in Budokai 3 and hearing loads of rumours about more GT characters hidden in the game and lots of elaborate BS ways to unlock them. The only one that really fooled me was actually one from Budokai 1 that was posted on several cheat sites that said you had to beat Advanced Tournament mode with each character to unlock SS4 Goku. I got so frustrated doing it too as characters like Recoome were really slow at sidestepping and got knocked out the ring easily. Of course it was all for nothing.

And I remember reading about the movies online after I'd thought I'd seen all there was to see of Dragonball with DB, Z and GT and the movies hadn't aired in the UK at that point. Unfortunately when they finally did air in 2005 AB Gruope decided to slap us loyal UK fans in the face by giving us the Big Green dub.

I was a member all of three of those sites that you mention as well. As a kid, I love the super battle collection figures and they are my favorite DBZ toys of the 90's. I remember one Japanese store had a lot of them and I try to collect them all as a kid. Oddly enough, there was no figures for the Shadow Dragons but that could be Bandai choosing not to make any figures for them at the time. The SSj4 Gogeta figure is my favorite as a kid.

I remember back before YouTube existed and trying to watch 1 minute quicktime clips from movies in Japanese, took forever for the video to load.

With regards to the 'DBZ-scene', I was very active online in the early naughties. I was a regular poster at Funimation's first forum between mid-2002 and early 2003, the UKDB.net forums between October 2002 and July 2003, the Ocean DB.net forums between July 2003 and early 2004, The Otaku Alliance forums - on and off - for much of 2003 as well as the Dragonballz-UK.co.uk forums between mid-2003 and early 2004. I would also browse such websites as DB-Unlimited.net, DBGTN.com, Dragonballz.de, Dragonball Arena and UltimateDBZ.com - as well as the official website, of course! As for this website, I'm afraid that I only began to post here when the other websites died out!

Incidentally, I can still remember the moment when I thought to myself "I wonder if there's any DBZ-related stuff online?". Given the number of friends I have made through DBZ, this turned out to be a very significant moment indeed..

Heh, I and another guy had a site called "Last Saiyajin Refuge", and then a guy threatened me because he claimed I "stole his name" when I had never heard of it. My strong original content was that I had made hundreds of video clips from db z gt; french and spanish dub clips.

I remember those sites and I was a member of those sites as well. I surprise that someone remembers Dragonball Arena and I remember that site got shut down when the site leader choose to ban everyone. I also remember when the site leader was remaking the first LOG game with gameplay similar to LOG 2 -3 and use the same game engine. I don't know what happen to that guy and I would love to see what happen to him after all of these years. Oddly enough, Dragon Ball Z: Attack of the Saiyans had Broli has a secret boss similar to his remake of LOG1. Makes me wonder if he works at Monolith Soft or not?

I miss watching DBZ with my friends and family. We used to get so hyped for each episode that aired on Toonami, particularly the Android and Cell saga. We were you're typical teenage kids, saying things like "OOOOOOHHHH SHIT! Did you see what Vegeta did, man?! You don't mess with my n****a like that!" (no, that's not an exaggeration, we thought we sounded cool). And the occasional perverted jokes about the women of the show. In all honesty, I really missed those days.

I just wish that even if they did move the cast to TX, what the dub would've been like had they gone in a more faithful direction with their adaptation.

I imagine it would be on par with the Evangelion dub. At least from the late Cell arc.

My hangout was Pojo's. Though I did stop by some other sites like DBZGT Legacy and Planet Namek.

The NGE dub? Pretty accurate scripts ('cept for one infamous plot-important mistranslation with Adam/Lilith), so-so casting and acting. So...it would be alright, I guess.

I remember Pojo's magazines, I had a pretty old magazine from around 99-2000, and loved how it promoted the international channel which was my favorite channel at the time next to cartoon network which has gone down hill minus a few shows.

Guys don't let me down on this! Do you guys remember using that Cartoon Network site and there was a game like thing called Cartoon Orbit. and if you watched Cartoon Cartoon Fridays every friday and you would get these codes to type in from the host of CCF and you'd get these things called C-Rings(Don't google that by itself trust me guys! LOL) But I remember trading almost everything I had to just get the Dragonball Z rings.

But you could bid on them and trade with people online. but getting the Dragonball rings was next to impossible. lol

I remember those on CN website. I remember back in 2001 that the DBZ characters had the most points and were hard to save up for. I also remember those flash games that they had on CN's website.
