I think the forums started in 2004. I first discover the site sometime in late 2003 or 2004 when I was looking up info for Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans and I didn't join the forums until 2009. I'm kinda glad that I did since I was a total noob during the early 2000's on the web and people on the IGN DBZ forums used to hate my guts.

I have no idea what's being pointed out.

The current install of the forum - which we've ported over as-is at least twice - dates back to January 2004 in prior Daizenshuu EX days, so it's not quite ten years yet. Close though, yeah.

But please remember, the forum is not the website. There were various incarnations of the forum before that, dating well-well-well-far-back beyond even that. I personally began my site in 1998, but I don't know that we had a forum directly associated with the site for a year or so after that, as I continued to spend my time on alt.fan.dragonball for various discussion needs.

It's a sticky, confusing subject. Strictly speaking, Kanzenshuu as we know it isn't quite two years old yet (but I can't believe it's already been THAT long). As Mike says, the forums opened almost ten years ago. DaizenshuuEX has been running continuously since 2003. Prior to that, there had been a break of about, what was it, a year? I remember it seemed to feel a lot, lot longer than that. Before that was the earliest form of DaizenshuuEX with a largely different staff, and THAT was after the name change where it had been called VegettoEX's Home Page, and before THAT where it was... um, damn, some sort of VegettoEX's Dragon Ball links page in 1998.

And that's not even getting into the Kanzentai side of things, which, of course, makes up the other half of what is now Kanzenshuu. At least that's a lot easier to track. They opened in 2006 (right?) and mostly used DaizenshuuEX's forum as a community hub before they officially joined forces.

So, yeah... hard to track down a precise anniversary because there are just so many!

By way of comparison, it's "only" been eight years since Kanzentai got started (though its information database eventually grew to rival that of Daizenshuu EX in a complementary fashion, which is why we eventually fused).
