Soul With a Capital 'S'

Apologies if this has been discussed before, but apparently Tower of Power just straight used some of their own songs for the Budokai soundtracks:

Yep, it was actually moderately-heavily-promoted leading up to the second game. It was three songs in particular:

- "Soul with a Capital S"
- "Only So Much Oil in the Ground"
- "Soul Vaccination"

It was also more Kenji Yamamoto arrangements of said songs than it was Tower of Power just performing the songs themselves. They're definitely minor adaptations of the songs than a straight-up performance of them.

It's one of the few "NOT actually plagiarism" examples! :)

Hah, I don't even remember that. Then again, I was like 13, so I didn't really pay much attention.

It's not plagiarism... yet it's still someone else's work. Ironic.

I still contend that Yamamoto is a skilled arrangement artist... and he makes good use of other peoples' material. :P
