I'm just glad I started reading this AFTER the age of Broly wank. Now I can pretend that those pages never happened :)

He's probably referring to the Bardock special. Zarbon was the one who first recommended destroying Planet Vegeta because the saiyans were rapidly growing in strength.
It was actually Beerus disguised as Zarbon #StayWoke
Herms wrote:The fact that the ridiculous power inflation is presented so earnestly makes me just roll my eyes and snicker. Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

It was a great fight and pretty much got most fans into the series.

I'm not just talking about the fight. Also, I don't care how good it supposedly was. It's Broly.

That's a bad attitude to look at in a FANFIC. You don't care how good the fight was?

You can never convince me that Broly smacking around Vegetto flanked by two Broly specials is a good thing.

You don't care how good the fight was? Then why watch a manga about fighting?
I never said it was good. I'm saying you should read the fight and plot. It was pretty decent. Had it not been Broly then you would like it correct? The fight was most likely used to get the fans into the series. Hence why Broly was removed from the series

Maybe if it had been Zen Buu or something. But even then, I still think the whole "HE'S INVULNERABLE" thing is boring. So actually I probably wouldn't have liked it either way. I just might not have utterly hated it if it wasn't Broly... and if it hadn't been released around the same time as two Broly specials. And if the author wasn't a self-admitted Broly fanboy.

I don't like Broly.

Nah, that still bothers me. Because it implies that Vegetto needs something other than his base to do that to Broly.

I unintentionally implied the same thing with my own fanart.

They explained why Broly was that strong, though. Could have been a better explanation, but yeah, they explained it.

I think he knows why Broly is so strong. RandomGuy did say he would't have an issue if the author wasn't a "Open Broly Fanboy" or something like that

I don't see what the author's preferences have to do with the story/manga. If I had read the story/manga for the first time and thought it was good, and then found out that the author was a fan of Broly, I don't see why I should suddenly change my opinion on the story/manga based on that.

Random know Salgir was a fanboy I think. I think that why he skipped it

Random didn't say it'd be fine if Salagir wasn't a Broli fanboy. It's just one point on a list of things that make it bad for him. And I think it's valid because it shows that the only real reason it happened was to serve Salagir's fanboyism.

...Owch. I know I wouldn't like it if people toss around assumptions like that at me :(...

TheGmGoken wrote:Hey guys lets compare Perfect Cell. Asura's , Toriyama's, and GogetaJr's. I might do this sometimes(Other should too). Sounds fun discussing which is the best drawing of a certain character.

Toriyama
Ausura(Left Corner)
GogetaJr:
So far IMO Toriyama wins this one. Can't beat original(Nope I'm not being bias).
1st: Toriyama
2nd: Ausura
3rd: Gogeta Jr

Gogeta Jr's Cells looks Chibi like at times. Not sure why though. He drew some great characters.
They're all pretty good, it's hard to compare. I must say Asura kind of overdoes the skin spots in this panel though.

Well, don't write a comic where something happens purely to appease your fanboyism for one character at the expense of logic, then.
