Some zero calorie cola in a 'Dragonball Kai' branded can that I found in an asian supermarket in Newcastle China town...
What was the name of the shop? I go to Newcastle every match day and wouldn't mind picking these up.
I can't recall the name, but it's the modern looking Asian Super Market with in-store bakery near The Gate (the big glass complex near China Town with a Casino and a bunch of restaurants).

That's great! I live in the North East of England too. Going to definitely pick some of those up next time I'm in Newcastle!

Brilliant! I didn't know there were many North Eastern fans on here. I grew up in Teesside, but I live in Huddersfield now for work. I just happened to be back in the area for the holidays.

Me neither! Small world. Thanks for the heads up... funnily enough, my sister mentioned that she had picked up something for me in China town, but she decided not to give me it until Christmas. It was anime related apparently... think I might have just caught on! Haha!

I actually had one once, but it got flat on the way so when I had it, it tasted rather bad.

Do you know what the taste is based off of?

It was a Cola-based recipe. It didn't taste particularly great, if not for the Dragonball Z branding then I wouldn't buy it again!

Better.... hmm. ;)

I'm slowly building a version of the Parts releases (or whatever you call the ones predating, and smaller than the "season" releases) to try listening to the Japanese version with Ol' Kenji's score. Shame about the digitally annihilated animation though.
A YouTube channel with no AMVs on it? I know, it's hard to believe.

How the crap did you pull that off Kei???? :P I hate you so much right now. LOL  regardless that is indeed a great buy! I would love to get into buying reels. The last one I seen was the original Wolfman at a friends house years ago.

Is there any chance we could get a small video seeing how it looks on film? I would be SO! interested in seeing that...If it wouldn't be too much trouble. :)

I found it on Yahoo! Auctions. Fortunately, it was put up in a wrong category, so it cost only about 6,000 yen. As for how actually it looks, I have to send it to a studio that can handle 16mm film telecine because I don't have any film projectors. I'm planning to transfer my 16mm reels in HD within the next year.

That is so unbelievably cool! Your acquisition puts 99% of the merchandise related posts in this topic to shame!

I feel inadequate as a collector XD

That is amazingly awesome. To think stuff like that just gets sold. At least we know that it ended up in good hands.

Very, very nice purchase.
