I've always seen this pic around yet I have never seen it in the Anime or Manga...where did it come from, it doesn't look like Fan art at all.
Vegito: What do you call a Goku & a Vegeta? Gogeta sounds nice.

It was on the cover of one of the original Pioneer DVDs... It was also used a lot in publicity back in the late 90's. As far as its use in Japan, I have no clue!

It's just basic poster art, really. Pioneer used it for one of their DVDs back in the day.

I'm new, but I have to correct you guys. You are wrong, this picture in fact is from the anime. If you remember correctly, back in the Freeza saga, when Vegeta was about to take a nap with the alarm clock in his hand he sat in that position thinking about Goku being the 'Legendary Super Saiyan'. Then the alarm clock cuts into scene, and he falls asleep. Then Krillin and Gohan snatch up the dragonballs...
[Edit: This picture is also a splice, which means it is two pictures (background and picture) put together for advertising purposes.]

I'd like to see a screenshot of that.
Three different colors for the skin? Three different colors for the armor/gloves/boots? I
really doubt it (which is a polite way to say "no way in hell").

I'm also pretty sure I've seen this in the anime, but its not in the manga. I'm not able to take screenshots of my real player with the "print screen" button.

I think Olivier Hague is trying to say it's not directly from the anime (although it may be a reproduction of a certain cell) due to the level of detail displayed on that cover picture.
If that's it, I think that way too.

Not even close. o_O
It's DVD screencap time!
No where in that scene does it have that image. Right after this, the scene goes onto Gohan, who is outside, watching over the Dragon Balls.

Those are some good quality screenshots
These surely can't be from Funimation DVD's.

Those are from the Dragonboxes. Tsukento has them.

Hey, in two of those shots, Vegeta's boots have the gold on the tips of them. Coloring error!
Sorry, that was off topic.

Back on topic, I have no idea where that image is originally from, but I've seen it everywhere, on almost everything. (That is, box art, poster, partyware, ect.)
What's scarier than a DBZ H-game?

*sigh* It's hard being a fan of Funimation these days...

That promotional image I saw from the beginning of my fandom. I think it was either for a poster or a early video release.

I wish.

Otherwise I wouldn't be buying three R2 single DVDs every month. Yeah, they're Dragon Box-quality, but they're not screencaps from the Dragon Box. Just screencaps from the single DVDs of the Dragon Box remasters.
..Damn, that's tricky to say. Though the only Dragon Boxes I have are GT and Movies.
As for the image itself, you can see it's not from the actual episodes. Just promotional wallscroll/poster art, that eventually ended up being used for Pioneer's VHS and DVD release of a certain portion of Z episodes. Volume #10 Rebirth, to be exact.

Since we're talking about pics, does anyone know where
this one comes from? I want to find the full size pic of it and make it into a wallpaper (it's so rare to find a single pic of Gokuu happy and not in battle, charging a kamehameha, or otherwise not looking happy and innocent).

Well... err... since we're on the subject of where pics originate from, could someone just
quickly tell me where this comes from?

I've only seen it used on eBay, and would absolutely looooove this as a poster. Very atmospheric.
Who drew this, exactly? Is there a better version of it (larger, more detailed)?

I'm pretty sure that a great deal of those really good, detalied pics that clearly aren't from the manga are those little pull out posters from the daizenshuu.
