Goku's Unusual Outfit...

What is Goku wearing in this picture? Why was it never in the actuall Dragonball story? Maybe it was the costume Goku would have worn if he would have taken Kami's offer to become a God...maybe? Anyone know?

If I'm not mistaken, that's the winning entry from a "draw Goku a new costume" contest advertised in the last volume pages, I believe. I always thought that design was sorta cool, so I've adopted it into my manga for something else.

Woah, I was about to post a topic asking about why Goku was asking the readers in vol. 14 to help him think up some new clothes. But then I never put it up, because I assumed that it was a contest for the readers in Japan, and that the winning outfit was the turban outfit that we see Goku in at the beginning of the 23rd Tournament. Thanks, for proving me wrong :D!

I've always wondered about that costume ever since I saw it in one of the Daizenshuu books! I always thought it looked badass! I wish Goku would've worn it in the series, It would've been a nice break from the usual gi.

Its a good thing he doesnt wear it in the Anime or the Manga, it makes him look like one of those chinese villians you see in the Jackie Chan movies. :lol:

That outfit looks really cool, I also think it would have been nice to see him wear it in the series. :)

What I don't get is why he's holding up what looks like a car. Maybe it was the grand prize outside of having Toriyama draw Goku in your outfit?
