Vegeta looks so weird crying in the manga. Much better than the anime

Now the chapters will become strangely ordered because we're not missing collections of chapters that follow one after the other, but a scattered amount between 339-391.

Re: Full-Color Manga: preview/reference panels for each chap
I really like this project. It's pretty useful to a project of my own, which I try to use manga colors as a base, but is just fun to follow on it's own. It doesn't cover everything I'd need, but it does get all the important stuff...which is the important part. lol
Anyway, can someone please post a full body picture of Gotenks (base is fine)? I saw his color scheme was slightly different back when I got my 4th Chozenshu and I think I may want to try using his colors from this version when I draw him.
Also, we're closing in on the end of the manga here though, and there aren't a lot of color schemes left to discover. That leaves me more curious about the Neko Majin chapters than the Cell or Buu Arc, since those have been colored too. Would really like to see which color scheme they used for Kurieza; maroon-red like Budokai 2? purple like in Toriyama's artwork? something different?

I'm glad you like the project. When I choose the panels to turn into previews I try to span the whole chapter so that you can see where this chapter began and ended, but I also look for the panels that don't contain a lot of text, show off the background, use a variety of colors, are unique, etc. I also try to keep the average around 8 images, so sometimes things get cut in place of others. Having said that, don't be afraid to special order something if I failed to make it a preview. What other images do you need for your work?TheDevilsCorpse wrote:I really like this project. Haha, saying we're "closing in" on the end sounds easy, but there are more chapters left to post than the total amount I've posted so far. I think I can get my hands on the FC Neko Majin manga and if I do I can/will throw up some previews for those as well.

Interesting, just like with Piccolo, the anime has "upgraded" Cell from three to five fingers (Piccolo was four to five). He surely looks more like an insect that way.
I never noticed it before (then again I never read the manga past the end of the Freeza arc... I am waiting for the physical Full Color to get to the Androids arc first).

Re: Full-Color Manga: preview/reference panels for each chap
Yeah, making the previews will still be a lot of work. No denying that. I'm just saying that once we move past the first 1/3 of an arc, Toriyama starts to fall back on the same set of characters being seen. Since we've been shown the new transformations, fusions and other major things in advance, there isn't a whole lot to look forward to in terms of new color schemes, which is the part I find most interesting. Still, it will be great to look forward to colored versions of the panels themselves though.Tyro wrote:I'm glad you like the project. There really aren't any specific Dragon Ball scenes I'm wanting. It's mostly just my desires to own this release so that I could reference more of the minor characters, like all of Freeza's nameless minions or the various loads of people trying out in the Budokai preliminaries, when it comes time for me to draw them. If you can grab Neko Majin though, that would be great. Would really be looking forward to Thunderbolt, Kurieza, Onio, "Honey" and the Usagi Majin's colors, as well as if they did anything special to Z's colors for his various Super forms. My only specific request for it, besides the obvious posting of the colored versions of the characters, would be an unresized version of the panel where the Son family comes to greet Z, that way none of the colors get crushed when I'm trying to dropper them in Photoshop.

So Tyro, are you planing on posting all the chapter title pages?
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.
Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

And with this contribution everything has been filled in between chapters 1-392 (sans 304+307-316, coming soon via Cold Skin). Less than 30 chapters to go until the start of the long-awaited Boo arc. Hopefully we'll be there in a day or two. Happy 2014 Kanzenshuu!!

Not at this time, no. Some of them are large, or aren't impressive enough to be in the elite 8. The ones I like make it into my previews. I may post them later if enough people want it but I'm content just creating a handful of previews for all the chapters, hopefully persuading folks to buy this beautiful companion to Toriyama's original work.DBZGTKOSDH wrote:So Tyro, are you planing on posting all the chapter title pages?
