Judging by more scans, it seems only 20 characters will exist. It shows the 18 confirmed characters (no Kuririn as I thought =/)

I'm guessing Orochimaru and one of the One Piece villains... after all, we got Freeza on the Dragonball side!

Coming into this pretty late, but do we know for a fact that those slots are reserved for two additional characters, and aren't just the P1 and P2 random-select boxes?

If for characters, I'm also leaning towards them being villains for the other shows just to balance it out. Orochimaru is probably the safe-bet for a Naruto villain. For One Piece, I dunno... Arlong?

Also, on a random note... it's not spelled "Gokou"!!! HUZZAH!

Hopefully it will be like Smash, where it doesn't show you all the spaces for secret characters and the icons change somehow to fit the new ones. Because I am positive an earlier article said more than 20 characters.

*prays for Kuririn and Franky's sake*

Anyways, for an OP villain, probably Crocodile, Enel, or, (Water 7 spoiler...)Lucci (/spoiler)
I would rather see Ace though.

Well, to support EvilGamerX's hunch on Nico Robin being in one of those secret slots, she was a villain or antagonist at some point in the series so it would (well kind of) make sense. Though, I wouldn't mind there being Arlong, Crocodile, or Enel. Either one of those is fine by me.

I'm pretty sure Gaara would count as a Naruto villian, despite pulling a Vegeta and becoming helpful later on.

I'm hoping for Arlong. I view him as the Freeza of One Piece. As for Naruto, it has the three good characters (Lee, Kakashi and Gaara) so I don't care who else they throw in.

Personally I was hoping we'd see some of the recent upgrades from the manga. Oh well, maybe Jump Superstars 2.

I've read somewhere that Battle Stadium D.O.N. got a 26/40 from Famitsu. Can anyone confirm this?

On a side note, Super DBZ got a 31/40

Oh my god, purely amazing.

There are feesability issues all over the place, but who cares - just look at the screenshots!!! I'd say that no matter how powerfull any of the fighters, none of them can defeat the sorts of power battles that Dragonball Z exhibits. However, there is a villain in a OP movie who uses Ki and energy beams - who Luffy ultimately defeats, so don't write him out the occasion. We see in Naruto so many times the charactors using Chakra, which I guess is similar to Ki in roots and theories (its pretty much the same damned thing!).

Matchups I am relishing:

Piccolo VS Roronoa Zoro
Sasuke VS Vegeta
Rock Lee VS Sanji
Goku VS Monkey D. Luffy

Uhh! The excitement is too much to bare! I'm definately importing this badboy.

Sigh...I wish I had the money for this. It looks so cool, especially having my three favorite animes (until Naruto filler anyway..) in one game!

Still, I think I'll import this, since I can't stand the US voices for One Piece...and the fact that it might not come here at all!

Yay! So obviously Majin Buu's another one of the characters. This definitely leaves room for even MORE characters than we thought, which is cool. Unless they're just giving more spots to DBZ than the other two

Damn, that's good news. I really want this game, but I'm not about to spend over $70 on a Gamecube game no matter how awesome it may be. I just hope the price drops on it sometime within a year.

I also heard that there is MORE than 20 characters. Also, when I get the game, I will list characters as I unlock if they weren't announced.... for DBZ and One Piece >_>
