Well, this is the problem. The note is completely unnecessary and almost overwhelms the mini-comic by how verbose it is. Imagine someone telling you a hilarious joke and then immediately afterwards that same person tries to tell you very plain facts about cooking terminology while you're still laughing.
When a standup comedian tells jokes, they let the audience some time to laugh between each sequence.

Is it just me, or did the guy draw Nail in that top panel by mistake? I mean, is Piccolo ever seen with his cape, but without his turban at any point?

For a split second there, I wondered why Guru had a picture of Nail on his wall. Then I wondered why Nail was looking in grumpily through a window. Then I actually got what was going on.
Slow on the uptake today, I am.

Oh wow, brain fart. Somehow it didn't even click in my head that Kuririn hadn't gotten the same power-up in this version yet.

Something is wrong with Gohan face at 2nd panel, but, i can`t tell exactly what, Gohan is little OOC, until he became SSJ2 in Cell Saga, he never was so cocky. I'm sorry for keeping quoting Abridged, but, seeing Appule prisoned in that village remind me of Radditz "That`s why dad said i couldn`t keep Appule"

I wouldn't say he's cocky, just confident. And even then, he's just eager to save lives like he was with Dende. He DID intend to fight Dodoria before Kuririn reigned him in. But hey, we're finally starting to see what could be major deviations as a result of Vegeta's death.

I hope we won't see Gohan kicking Zarbon's ass... Gohan's BP in the manga was stated to be above 10.000, and Zarbon's was between 24.000 & 18.000, and he is above 24.000 after transforming (I only take into account the manga since it's the only thing Salagir follows, along with some movies). So, if that happens, we have a plot-hole.
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.
Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

It also kept steadily rising. He was somewhere between 10,000 and 15,000 against the Ginyu Force, but was able to fight Ginyu-Goku's 23,000 very well just a little later. Then by the time the fight with Freeza happened, he was in the hundreds of thousands. Granted that some of this growth was thanks to Saiyan healing boosts, but not all of it. Kuririn doesn't get those and even he ended up pushing 100 thousand.
So, uh... point being that based on how much time the author here has had pass, it's not unbelievable that Gohan could kick Zarbon or Dodoria's ass.

I'm aware, but the steady rising wasn't so fast. He got to over 23.000 after both a lot of time passed
and a near-death power-up.

Maybe unlocking Gohan first will make his power unlock faster. I think its said that unlocking power doesn't worsen the elders condition but maybe that ability itself weakens so in the regular story Gohan's unlock took longer but since he is stronger, him and Krillin stayed close for a while. Or maybe they will just run off or the story will go similar to the main and there will be a round 2 and Gohan's zenkai will make him stronger than Zarbon.

Gohan is probably just excited from his powerup and overestimating his strength. He's going to get a wakeup call.

I don't have a problem with the art style overall, but Zarbon always looks derp.
The Monkey King wrote:RandomGuy96 wrote:dbgtFO wrote:

He's probably referring to the Bardock special. Zarbon was the one who first recommended destroying Planet Vegeta because the saiyans were rapidly growing in strength.
It was actually Beerus disguised as Zarbon #StayWoke
Herms wrote:The fact that the ridiculous power inflation is presented so earnestly makes me just roll my eyes and snicker. Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.
