Hey, uh...for those who were interested in Gamepro's drawing contest; did the contest page just disappear? :?
I doubt they removed it because the deadline was over. Not that the deadline was ever announced, but I mean, the page wasn't up for very long at all.
Don't tell me they cancelled it?!

Yeah, i just drawn something yesterday and wanted to send it in, but than I couldn't get to the site anymore, it just redirects me to the homepage and I don't remember what the e-mail adresss was . The contest wasn't very clear anyway, so I just made a black-white picture of Vegeta vs. Goku.

Well, I'm guessing they dropped the contest. :x
If you still wanna try anyway, I think this is the address.

You'll probably want to include your mailing address in the email. And maybe your phone number.

Ugh. Yea.
I, of course, wouldn't have wanted to pay for this game myself either.
When I saw that the contest was apparently gone, I was pissed off.

If I have to pay for it myself, I was going to wait for the price to drop. It usually takes about a year though...
I was willing to wait that long, since I have a bunch of other games to play through anyway. But with the Japanese version out, and people here already talking about the game (and saying it's GOOD), I'm awfully hyped about it's release. It's less than 10 days away! I might wanna spring for it at full price after all.

DURN YOU, DAIZEX PEOPLE!!

Yea, I just checked that a little while earlier before I came here.
Geez. What's up with this??
First, it's advertised in the magazine, but the page isn't there.
Then it's there.
Then it's gone.
Now it's back.

For all the trouble they're making with this, I hope it pays off in the end. :?
I hope they at least update that page soon with SOMETHING. It's so lacking in information, it's scary.

Well maybe they wanted to find hardcore gamers to see what they thought of it and then put them in the promotional trailer.

Well, I was watching some of the newer videos of the game at IGN, and it seems that they're keeping the Japanese voices there, and adding translations only.

I wonder if they'll put in an option for the Japanese sound effects, instead of the English version, because seeing "BLAH" and "WHUP" doesn't look as cool to me...Either way, I'll probably get it.

Also, when does that drawing contest end? If it ends soon, I need to draw something right away!

Eh...whatever's on that contest page ( http://www.gamepro.com/superdbz/ ) is all anyone seems to know. You should probably get working just to be safe. :?

Hey there, folks. Felt I should pop in with a bit of news. If you have not already purchased Super Dragon Ball Z, hold out a bit longer. From July 23 to July 29, Super Dragon Ball Z will be on sale for $29 at Circuit City. Source coming from the folks of the Cheap Ass Gamer forums (http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/sho ... p?t=100885). :x Now I'm definately picking it up.

I'll pay full price if I find the game, cause I know I'm getting my money's worth & there's a slim chance of me making it to a Circuit City.

Also, Gamepro just got their review of Super DBZ in....not bad at all.

In regards to the news on the main page, I just want to say that I don't care about japanese voices and sound effects. The gameplay is what is drawing me to this game. I also don't care that it doesn't have Head Cha La or whatever. This game looks like it is going to be awesome and really fun to play, regardless of the little changes they make for the US version. I don't think it's worth the extra $$$ to import a game just so you get japanese voices and hit effects.

Just my $.02 on that.

Maybe not to you, but to others it is. :P So is it officially true that there's no Japanese voice options in the US game or are we going by what's seen so far?

Aye. I just read that before I was here. Hopefully, this game will get similar high ratings from all the major game sites and magazines, and people will stop bashing DBZ/anime games out of bias. :?

I am SO tempted to get this game. But I need to wait to see if Gamepro's contest pays off or not, or else I'll have wasted my money on a game I could've won for free. ;_;

About the voices; I hear there's no option to change the voices.
But, is it possible that that means it ONLY has Japanese voices?
Didn't Saiyan up there say the videos only had Japanese voices, but with subtitles?

And, while this may just mean that these pages haven't been edited yet with new information, but I've been looking at a bunch of sites that list Christopher Sabat's voice work; none of them mention Super DragonBall Z, but they mention the other games.

It appears that the reports of the game lacking japanese voice actors is strictly from looking at the strategy guide. I have trouble believing Atari would screw that up after the fan outcry for Budokai 3 GH, but we'll see.

The thing I heard about the strategy guide is that it says the audio section in the Options doesn't have a voice change.
Unless THAT'S a mistake, which I doubt it is, that means it only has one language. But no one seems to know what language that is yet, and just assume it's english.
