This makes me long for the old days. I suppose it's better than Dragonball not airing at all, but a single GT just once a week is not enough!
I would love it if it aired again like it did just before the first run of the Buu Saga. Dragonball Z was on every weekday, the episode airing twice. Once during the afternoon Toonami, and once during the Midnight Run. Then, they'd play the same 5 episodes in a row on Saturday. They would also show Dragonball during the afternoons. I remember that they got pretty far into the Namek Saga before they started showing the new Buu Saga episodes.
Then, in early 2004, they had 2 episodes of DBZ on Monday through Thursday, and one episode of Dragonball. Or was it just one Dragonball Z? In any case, they showed a new GT episode on Friday, and half the time had a DBZ Movie or TV Special airing before it.
And who can forget summer 2004. This was the best time to be a Dragonball on Cartoon Network fan, even if it was breif. They aired a block called "The Dragonball Chronicals" every day for about 3 weeks. The lineup was Dragonball, 2 Dragonball Z's, and Dragonball GT, every weekday!
Ever since then, it's been one episode a week, if it was on at all
Well, having it on once a week is a step in the right direction, I suppose.

Well I spent most of summer 2004 in Vietnam, so I never really saw the Super 17 Saga except for the last two episodes of it (I think). I guess I'd like a chance to catch it on TV even if it is dubbed. After all, it's pretty hard to find GT DVDs where I live.
I also think it'd be nice to watch DB again, it's been a really long time since I've seen it.

I’m glad to see I’m not the only one who thinks like that. It is nice to know others are getting the same enjoyment out of a series as you.DaemonCorps wrote:I agree wholeheartedly with you. I think it's because when it's aired on TV, you get the feeling that it's still "accepted" by our... world?
It's just that having a good TV timeslot gives the message that CN (or whatever network) is willing to give some time on their channel to a show in order to snag more fans for the show. Discovering a show and just getting them on DVD just seems like it's affecting you and only you. For example, it's like having someone from out of the country buying the DVD sets of Friends because they don't have it on TV; it's just not the same...
