Well, he was talking about survivors. All other things aside, Bardock did survive. Point taken, though.

Well, Bardock technically survived, but the Bardock of our timeline died according the TV Special, and maybe the manga. But as for Onio, he only survived in a parallel world, since Neko Majin is stated (in Chozenshuu 4) to take place in a parallel world.
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

That statement does not confirm or deny the existence of an Onio, and by that extent a Kuriza, in the main timeline. So take it as you will.

Unless someone owns the idea and name of Xicor if the storyline was the happen I'd say keep it but change the look.
Shueisha had Toyble assume another pen name when he moved on to drawing official material to distance himself from his previous works, and the same was done with Ooishi. If he wants to introduce a Xicor-like character in something official, it should be something completely new, not a rehash of his AF dojinshi. Hopefully though, after having moved on to work for the official franchise, he doesn't feel the need to try and bring his previous work along with him. It'd be nice if his official works didn't rely on other people's ideas from old shitty fan rumors, and he just tried to add something worthwhile to the franchise.

If you're going to try to address it with technicalities from the Chozenshu, then our Bardock is the one who survived. The Chozenshu timeline details the events of the Bardock TV Special and ends the entry saying that he was sent to the distant past.

Thinking about it a little, Tullece, Paragus, and Broli also survived in a parallel world as well, since Toriyama said that the movies take place in (a) parallel world(s). So, since we are talking in general, Onio counts as well, making the number of the Saiyans that survived the destruction of Planet Vegeta 10.

(Let Toyble see this)

1.People make stories that Bardock is now the original Super Saiyan stated in Vegeta's story in the Namek Saga.
2. In the Namek Saga he says he lost control of his power and died.
3. In the flashback, we see a Golden Oozaru instead of a man.
4. Golden Oozaru is the step before SSj4.
5. Bardock has a tail and can turn into both Oozaru and SSj, giving him the ability to turn into a Golden Oozaru.
6. WHAT-IF scenaro: Bardock IS that Oozaru from the story, does NOT lose control, and transforms into a SSj4.
Done.

(Expecting to see a SSj4 Bardock now...)

Wasent the Super Saiyan he talked about in his Super Oozaru form and that his power destroyed him? It would make more sense to fail mastering SSJ4 and go berserk, destroying the planet and himself along with it in the process.

NO NO NO NO NO!!!!! This is a dub line!

But about Golden Oozaru & the legend:
DBGT Perfect Files Vol. #1 wrote:Incidentally, the Super Saiyan legend has a passage saying that they “love destruction and slaughter”, but in actuality everyone retains their reason. However, if you’ll remember, there was a form where even Goku became extremely violent!! That’s right, when he transformed into a Golden Oozaru!! Surely this brutality, destructive power, and large scale are a sign of the legend that tells that they will “love destruction and slaughter”!! One can think of the Golden Oozaru form (which includes Oozaru Baby too!!) as perhaps fit to be called the true Super Saiyan!!

Well, it would explain how Ru Kaioshin knew about the process to turn into SS4.

No it wouldn't. At best that happened a thousand years ago, give or take. The Elder Kaioshin spent 15 thousand years inside a sword.
That would explain absolutely nothing and only serve to fuel Bardock's fan wanking. I wish it would just stop, they are ruining a good and tragic character.

Just confirmed it from the History of Ever thread, 75 million years. I was just paraphrasing and made an obvious mistake, sorry. Although it only helps to further prove my point. But at the same time, fuck me, did Saiyans exist 75 million years ago? Or maybe Elder Kaioshin simply knows about Super Saiyan 4 due to clairvoyant powers from his witch half.

I really don't want any new Super Saiyan 4 characters at all. If we had to get one though, I hope it isn't Bardock since he'd probably have the same hair design and fur color as his son. I'd rather look forward to what they would do with Gotenks, Vegetto, Trunks or Broli. I'll reiterate that none of these characters really need it, nor do I want them, but my artistic side is curious...

-Vegetto: Mostly curious if they would stick to Gogeta's red color scheme, or if that was a side effect of the Metamorean fusion.
-Gotenks: I'd be curious if they just used the Gogeta color scheme, or if they would keep the two toned hair? Maybe red and black? Plus, he just gained an undershirt for his GT fusion, would he keep that or just go back to the vest?
-Trunks: Would he get his own color scheme? Would it be two shades of purple, or would the hair be purple and the fur just be red with a more purple hue? Would his hair end up spiky, or would it just grow longer since his hair isn't naturally spiky?
-Broli: I imagine he would be buff in this form, just like with Super Saiyan 3. Very curious if he would get the traditional black and red scheme, or if he'd be another exception and be made green for his hair, fur or both?

I'm aware that Ru Kaioshin should be sealed during Bardock's time, but it would explain that someone in the past transformed into a Super Saiyan 4, which would mean that he got the information from somewhere. It's not necessary for him to be present when it happened, he could have just asked other gods or something.

The damage is already done, so I don't really care from this point. I don't care about anything that DBHeroes will throw us.

You are proposing one of two things, either someone transformed into a Super Saiyan 4 75 million years ago, which we don't even know if Saiyans existed back then, or the Elder Kaioshin asked someone after he woke up. Now who would have he asked? The Kaioshins don't exactly keep communication with any of the higher gods and there's no one else who ever heard of Super Saiyan 4, not even Kibito Shin, who has been around for at least 5 million years.

I'm saying that the 2nd one is the most likely one IMO. As for who he would ask? I don't know, he could have done a research and ask Enma Daio, the Kaios, and Kibitoshin, and after gathering various information, I guess he would come to a hypothesis that was proved to be correct by Goku. The Kaioshin don't keep communication with other gods usually, but that doesn't mean that they are not allowed to do so in some rare cases.

That's a really far-fetched theory. Also, as far as I remember, Elder Kaioshin seemed very sure of what he was saying, it wasn't a theory.
Elder Kaioshin had previous knowledge of a new transformation for Saiyans which he dubbed Super Saiyan 4. I'm willing to accept clairvoyance as a source for this information, coming from his witch half.
