Pretty much all of them except tutorial stages. Where your character is shown before entering game, click them and you get a character board come up :) Also pressing triangle is customizing the cards and colours.
I was wrong about this. Sorry. I have been playing story via co-op. I played single last night and noticed people were locked. So I am not sure.

Ian Sinclair? As in FUNimation's VA for Brook from One Piece? Nice. I thought the voice sounded familiar.

Perhaps the previous post I made was too confusing, so allow me to re-iterate:
In Mission 18: Power From Revival, Vegeta can be seen wearing his Frieza Saga armor, my favorite look. (Pictures are in the spoiler breaks.)
My question is: To all of the users who own this title, is this iteration of Vegeta playable/unlockable? From the looks of it, he's not. I'm incredibly irritated by this.

You can only fight against him. You're not even him in the Hero side of the missions.

I knew that you fought him, I was just wondering if you could unlock him somehow. It really doesn't make sense to me that you can't, seeing as how he fights just like any other character and even has his own "emotional status thumbnails" or whatever they're called. Is anyone else as annoyed as I am about this? I refuse to be relegated to selecting the "Saiyan Saga Vegeta" as the only normal base form Vegeta.

Thanks for the confirmation. I have to give Douglas some more credit, that doesn't sound like I'm used to him sounding. I've always liked him as an actor, but I had assumed he was kind of a 'one voicer'. Not that there's anything wrong with that, one can still be a talented voice actor and only have one voice (though it has to be a pretty good one), but I just never knew he had it in him. That said, still a little unsure what to think of it.

I'm also still a little hesitant about Ian Sinclair's Whis. He just sounds so...nervous, in the start of that clip. Maybe the Japanese version of the game did it that way for some reason too? I just dunno why Whis, who was so calm and reserved in the movie, would be nervous around Beerus...seems a little awkward.

Yup, that's the guy. For what it's worth, he's also Toriko in...well, Toriko. Can't say I've heard what he sounds like there though.

Oh! Forgot, he's also the lead in Space Dandy. You know, that dandy guy in space...space.

This isn't the first DBZ game to have this problem. Budokai also featured outfits that could only be seen in story mode. Heck, it even featured full characters that you could fight that weren't playable.

There's 17 (18 if you count FLOW's CLHCL) of 35 tracks on the game were actually newly composed tunes while the rest is just recycled music from Raging Blast 1 & Ultimate Blast.

List:
17 is actually a pretty decent amount of tracks but throwing in RB1/UB is what caused the problem (it was meant to be a brand new game).

So I went and pre-ordered this game at Best Buy because I'd rather have Super Vegetto than Super Saiyan Bardock. I'm excited to play this game, I actually liked the demo. Listening to the podcast episode right now so maybe I can get a better feel. I still kind of suck and the people online kick my ass. So, hopefully I'll get better as time goes on. I pre-ordered it for PS3 since that's what I already got the demo on. What are you fellow Kanzenshuuers getting it on and will I possibly see you online?

I mean, you're pretty open about looking at cartoon porn. Why would you do that? It's fiction. The proportions of these women are not possible to reach in reality.

I call absolute, complete and total bullshit on having to get Super Vegetto and Super Saiyan Bardock outside of the game, when you fight against them in the game itself.
And now we wait and confirm that the Kikuchi score is still present in the Japanese version. I almost don't even want Zenkai Battle Royale, if they're gonna replace it as always.
Super Saiyan Prime wrote:The game really can't be this small, right? So much for the Japanese audio getting axed due to Vita size constraints ...
I don't plan on getting the game through digital download (so, anyone that has, feel free to correct me if needed) but I would assume that, like other online-focused games, it's just the "initial data" from which you'd then download the rest of the game data, how many GBs that may be. As far as the PS3, at least, since I don't have any experience with Vita stuff.

So are Vegetto and SSJ Bardock definitely not unlockable in game? I'm really hoping these are just unlock codes to get the characters early.

No, they aren't. Otherwise, there would be no reason for Japan to release this as proper, paid DLC.

:( I feared as much. I really hope it gets released later on for us too. I had no idea where to pre-order from to even get them.

I don't know why everyone is fretting over the DLC so much. You don't have to pre order the game to get the DLC. It will become available on the PSN store/XB Live Arcade in several months.

Plus whats with the constant bashing of the Vita version of the game? You can't beat $30 price tag for this game. And I don't really care about missing the DLC, its stupid they omitted those characters form the game. Having a portable version of the game is so convenient for me since I'm barely home anymore.

And from my experience; I've had experienced less lag and less synchronization on the Vita version compared to the PS3 version. PSN is always constantly lagging and synchronizing, the Vita has been giving me a seemless online experience.

Plus you can't beat playing it on your bed at night

People are annoyed that the characters aren't in the game to begin with, plus slightly worried because the Kanzenshuu staff reached out to Namco Bandai and were told that they have no plans to release the DLC outside of Japan. In the case of Sage Goku, initial interviews said that he will be like the Goku costume Naruto had in Storm 3, and won't be availible beyond this initial first batch of releases.

Well, I've now seen the event where you fight both ssj Bardock and ssj Vegetto, which confirms that this is indeed a case of the content being on the disc but inaccessible unless you pay for it. This is the only thing thus far about this game to really annoy me. I hate that sort of nonsense where you buy an incomplete game and then have to pay extra to experience the whole thing. But in this case it's not even that, it's forcing everybody in certain regions to all have an incomplete game for good even if they're willing to pay extra. Why the hell did they even decide to make two of the characters DCL (or rather "pay to use what you already bought")? The only purpose that sort of thing ever served was to scam extra money out of sold products, but no intent to do so outside of one area means that isn't the reason elsewhere. If they only want to rip off folks in Japan then they should have made it so the game has everything available everywhere else. The one and only reason to not do so that I could possibly think of is a deliberate attempt to piss people off for no reason. They better not let this start happening often, or it won't be long before I completely forsake all DBZ games like I did all Capcom games over this very kind of BS.

Well that is extremely stupid of them. How the hell are you supposed to have SSJ Barodock and Super Vegito in the same game? Buy the game twice?

Disk locked content? Yeah just give it a while. SF X Tekken pulled that crap and people managed to get ahold of the DLC characters. A guide will pop up sooner or later.

It definately feels like North America are getting the raw end of the deal here, all regular UK preorders come with Sage Goku, Bardock and Vegetto...
