And now that you mention references in other official manga...I've got two that I found recently that I've been meaning to find a way to share. First up is from Toriko.

Looks an awful lot like Saiyan armor, no? And then this second picture is much more direct about it and comes from a one shot called 'Sporting Salt'.

I completely missed that one from Toriko... must be because the armour is so dark I didn't notice.

Those could be DVDs since they came in a box set as well in that format.
My favourite art style (and animation) outside Toriyama who worked on Dragon Ball: Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru, Masaki Satō, Minoru Maeda, Takeo Ide, Hisashi Eguchi, Katsumi Aoshima, Tomekichi Takeuchi, Masahiro Shimanuki, Kazuya Hisada

I think he's referring to the six hundred sixty six search results for DBZ tapes. Meaning there's an unholy amount of the same DBZ episodes available for purchase on EBay.
