If they cut the Buu saga down by 50% like the others then it will be 49 episodes which will take a year to air so that gives the Toriko manga plenty of time to get ahead of the anime.Mewzard wrote:perhaps they hope to let the anime rest, let the manga get ahead, and continue it in a year or two, however long the Buu Arc of Kai takes, if that is what is replacing it.

By some stroke of luck, Kyle Hebert will be at an anime convention in my area, Taste of Animethon, this coming Friday and Saturday.

I'm considering asking him about Kai's Buu Saga, but he's probably not allowed to talk about it.

No, he's probably not. But you can ask anyway and see how he reacts!Fennekin wrote:By some stroke of luck, Kyle Hebert will be at an anime convention in my area, Taste of Animethon, this coming Friday and Saturday.

Hopefully less pissed off than Schemmel and Sabat have been about it recently. I do feel sorry for those guys endlessly being trailed for answers that they have nothing to say about, but yeah - I guess that just comes with their job. I can think of worse work-related baggage.Tanooki Kuribo wrote:No, he's probably not. I wonder if the first episode of Boo arc will be Episode 99 of Dragon Ball Kai, or if it will begin as Episode 1 of a "new" series.

The Data Carddass of Toriko is ending. http://www.carddass.com/torikobjg/
So, the anime is also ending for 99.9% sure.

Although it kind of makes me sad we probably won't see another crossover now. Even if they first one was pretty terrible, save a few cuts from Shida Naotoshi. Eh, whatever. New Dragon Ball stories are always fun.

There is always the chance to see a Dragon Ball x One Piece special, especially he Dragon Ball replaces Toriko (which seems very likely at this point).
Hopefully, Toriko will return after Dragon Ball ends, if Dragon Ball really does replace Toriko.

For those with the ability to read 2ch: has anyone mentioned how many chapters Toriko episode #140 covered? My thanks.

I think the cross-over specials were almost entirely just to boost Toriko's brand. The Dragonball one was also a little bit to promote Battle of Gods.DBZGTKOSDH wrote:There is always the chance to see a Dragon Ball x One Piece special, especially he Dragon Ball replaces Toriko (which seems very likely at this point).

Re: Buu Saga Kai
Sadly I'm thinking that's the case, yeah. Otherwise we would have seen a crossover special prior to Toriko even joining the ranks. Though there were those really neat 'Dream 9' eyecatch things with characters from DB and OP interacting, it'd be cool to see some of those.Blade wrote:I think the cross-over specials were almost entirely just to boost Toriko's brand. Or, you know, Toei could be really super awesome and finally animate Cross Epoch for us. *dreams big*
