Next DBZ Movie Featuring Vegeta?

A new Q&A with Toriyama in the next issue of Saikyo Jump has been leaked. According to it, if there is a project of a next movie, he will cast Vegeta as the protagonist in it. It is still totally unknown whether there is going to be a new movie, but it seems that they are thinking about it at least.

Would that decision ultimately lie with him though? Thanks for sharing, I think it'd be refreshing to see a film where Goku isn't in the spotlight.

Tbh, i don't think Vegeta fit the role to be the protagonist. but i'd like to see that for once or two, it'd be refreshing for someone to take the protagonist role other than Goku or Gohan.

That's cool it won't be centring on Goku but I've yet to see Battle of Gods and FUNimation's not announced a US BD release yet of it.

I'll be nice nevertheless if this is real so it means Nozawa will be voicing Goku and whomever of the Son family because when she retires or something else it just won't be the same without her voice.

Only way I can see Vegeta as a protagonist is if Goku gets kidnapped or disappears or something.
Nonetheless. I'll be pretty pumped if this turns out.

Super Saiyan 3 has become so overused it's not cool anymore. Anyone in Heroes has the probability of becoming an SSJ3 (if they're Saiyan-related) which should be an exclusive to the full blood Saiyans not partially (Trunks).

That's just the games but in canon only 2 have used it and it would be very epic to see Vegeta use it.

I always wanted to see a TV special around Vegeta’s younger years under Freeza, in a similar fashion as History of Trunks. The special, of course, wouldn’t have ssj transformations and that might be a tough idea to sell. I wonder if there’s still a chance.

I'm fine with giving Vegeta a starring role if a new movie does happen. I just hope it's set in the "present" day as opposed to being a flashback story.

On a serious note, it'd be pretty nice to have some focus on Vegeta now. There's still a lot you could do with his character now that he's 'good'.

BOG screwed Vegeta over so much that I can't see a movie with him in the spotlight being any good. But if they bring back the good ol' badass Vegeta, go for it.
