2nd fav main character, only behind Goku. Nice. Now only Shaman Kig needs representation and I'll be set
Tim Duncan is dope and forever.

Sweet. I don't even know these characters outside of reputation, and I'm still pretty psyched for their inclusion. I'm still really hoping for Wingman though (or some kind of Katsura representation somewhere, c'mon!), and Bobobo. I'm not even a Bobobo fan, far from it, but the more I think on it, he would just play so insanely differently from everyone else that I'd like to see him included.

Man I'm so ready to kick-ass with Freeza! All they need to add is Mutō Yūgi and this game will be perfect IMO. Whether they add him or not though this is still a day 1 purchase for me.
I was going to buy it for the PS3 but seeing as how the PS VITA and PS3 are very similar graphically I figured I'd just go with the VITA version for portability purposes (and it's cheaper).
Maybe once the price decreases I will get the PS3 version as well to play with friends seeing as how almost none of them own a VITA.

Just throwing some stuff:
Now I know why Chinyuki doesn't have a song. It didn't have a TV anime. Just a four episode OVA. The other series that doesn't have a song is Assassination Classroom, because it doesn't have an anime yet.
Pegasus Fantasy is confirmed as the song for Saint Seiya, and Hokuto no Ken will probably have a song too (probably You wa Shock, or whatever that was called). With this, we have 17 series with TV anime, and four more to come, since the Anison Sound Edition will feature 21 songs. This doesn't count series that got OVAs (like Chinyuki and Rokudenashi Blues, for example) or series that didn't ever have an anime (Assassination Classroom and Muhyo to Rouji, for example). This also doesn't count series that will have only support characters (Sket Dance, Neuro and others).
So we can say for sure that the game will have at least 35 playable characters. That's a lot.

If Wingman doesn't make the cut, I hope Iori Yoshizuki or Ai Amano appear as support characters. I mean, Lala and Chitoge are in the game, so why not?

I'd love Iori or anyone from I"s making the support character cut in-particular, since that's my favorite series of his. When it comes down to it though, I just want something of his somewhere in there, because he's had so many different successful stories in Jump to not be shown somewhere.

I also forgot until now, but I wonder what the chances are of Kazuki Muto making the cut to represent Buso Renkin. Buso was never that big sadly, but it did manage to get into the DS Jump games, and had it's own PS2 game, so...you never know.

Also, I didn't know that Assassination Classroom didn't have an anime yet. That surprises me given how much people are talking about that one. So...does that mean this game is the first time that character has had a voice?

Well, the anime is just a matter of time. Tomokazu Seki voiced Korosensei in eight vomic chapters. There was also a 31 minutes special in Jump Super Anime Tour 2013 that adapted an early arc of the manga.

I wonder if WSJ has a record of what the most requested characters are...

Wasn't there a poll to vote who characters fans want back when it was announced? Who have made it so far?
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

Ohh, all right. Yeah, it having gotten a special in a Tour definitely sounds like they're just waiting for the right time to do an anime.

I believe so, but I dunno if we ever got to see the results of said poll.

We also need Kinnikuman, and I'd want Ryuji Takane from Ring ni Kakero (1977-1981), given the series is one of Jump's biggest early hits, and got an anime in the 2000s:

As for Yugi and Bobobo, we can kill two birds with one stone:

I still think it's a good solution, lol.

I'd still love to see Train Heartnet make the playable roster, but I doubt it'll happen.

Uchiha Madara as a playable character, eh? If that's the case, then most of the characters in the game will stand absolutely no chance against him, given that Madara has Perfect Susano'o as an ultimate technique. Not to mention he was already extremely powerful from the beginning.

We already had Goku in this game, power balance has been out the window since day one.
I'm re-watching Dragon Ball GT in full on my blog. Check it out if you're interested in my thoughts on the series as I watch through it!

Well, I guess in a video game, yeah. But if it wasn't for a video game, Goku wouldn't stand a chance against him, but that's for another thread to discuss, which I would create eventually anyway.

Seiya
. Madara would be dead before his body hit the floor. Seiya's actually fought
Aizen could certainly get him under the
before Madara could pull off anything too fancy.

Hell, in the latest chapter of Bleach,
. Support, yeah, but still.

Zebra can
and Toriko can
.

I don't know much about Medaka Box, but I hear she's insanely broken.

If Kenshiro or Raoh even get the chance to lay one finger on Madara, it's over. Hokuto Shinken is the ultimate assassination art for a reason, you will explode into a pile of guts. Super Ninja or not, the man's still human with the same vital points.
I hope Dio from Part 3 of JJBA gets in, I'd love to see Madara handle
.

"I like the money it brings in, but Dragon Ball Heroes is the worst. That's actually the real reason I decided to start working on new material. I was afraid Bandai would make something irredeemably stupid like Super Saiyan 4 Broly." - Akira Toriyama, made up interview, 2013.

All I need is Asakura Yoh and ill be good to go.

Though id love Natsu Dragneel, Edward Elric, and Inuyasha in this game. Damn shame they aren't Shonen Jump, they would be perfect editions to the roster. Hell, lets throw Guts/Gatsu from Berserk in there as well.

Hey guys I haven't been following too much and I was just curious how this game played? Is the controls like the Raging Blast games? Also can any of you guys add me on my PS3 that way we can play whenever I can get it? PSN- AssertedWolf
