Might want to fix some basic grammar before the mods make it Red(Which might be bad for some user's eyes). I hate the Bills and hate the fact that most of the countries are only using "Bills" because the internet made it popular. Chris Sabat pretty much fought for Beerus(ThANK YOU CHRIS!). I'm sure Funi was going to use Bills because of DBZ Wiki. But I'm glad they went with Beerus.

anyway, i can think that english/american people"bills" sounds strange because the english name Bill, but in other countries there isn't a problem.
Seriously, you had "Bulla" instead Bra...

p.s. and sorry if my english isn't every time perfect..

Only in the censored television version, as far as I know. Same situation with Mr. Satan's name change on broadcast television.

Anyway, "Bills" is also the plural for part of our currency: "I've got several twenty dollar bills". Makes online searches a bit of a problem.

In a report on the phenomena Dragonball, the french TV channel "Canal +" said at the end:
"Le nouveau long métrage DBZ, intitulé Battle of Gods, sortira en France d'ici quelques mois."
which translates to; "The new featured movie, called Battle of Gods, will be out in France within a few months."

^ Yeah, they do sound sure of themselves when stating that, it's not a "maybe", they clearly announce it as confirmed information.
We'll see, for now dbz.com reports that Brigitte Lecordier (voice actress for young Goku, young Gohan, Goten, young Trunks and C-18 - along with Videl if this hasn't been changed for the new dub) has stated she has no info about it yet.

For now, we can't entirely know for sure if "Canal +" just jumped to conclusions or if the adaptation process has indeed started but the voice actors haven't been contacted yet... or if the voice actors pretend they don't know about it to keep it secret somehow.

Out of curiosity, is there any official word on why this movie still hasn't come out In The U.S.? You would think they'd want it coming out there as soon as possible considering it is one of the places from which it would likely make the most money.

Thet are dubbing other anime, dubbing kai, or legal issues with Funi and Fox

Well, Schemmel tweeted yesterday that he was off to Dallas for something. It was pretty vague and mysterious so who knows what he's recording down there.

Doesn't Sean do a lot of 4kids dubbing or Toonzai? Or was it Cws dubbing? Either way where do they record at?

4Kids is no longer really around, but most of the same people that did the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise are still around at Konami doing Zexal. They record in New York so voice work he does for them doesn't require flying to Dallas. Same with Pokemon (Another big franchise he's been known to do voice work for).

It could be more Kai.

He's a freelancer from what I can tell, so as opposed to having an allegiance to a given company - as for example Chris Sabat and Eric Vale seem to have with Funimation, he works on a contract-by-contract basis for basically whoever's paying.

Which gives him the 'distinction' of appearing in both 4Kids and Funimation's dub of One Piece.

Just watched it again and it really was kinda crappy.

The whole movie just felt like it was some reunion to get as many characters back as possible even though most didn't do or say anything.

Vegeta's character has just been flushed down the toilet, everyone's favourite badass now singing karaoke and dancing like a tool? Piccolo one of the best characters in DBZ is now a background character singing karaoke, he's on the same level as Krillin now. Gohan pathetically gets beat in seconds. Way to spit on the characters.

The movie was way too childish, the humour was so so bad. Why the hell did they bring Pilaf and co back? They were some of the worst characters in Dragon Ball and now they're little kids? Obviously done to appeal to the very young children.

The Kai's knew about Bills all along but never said anything to Goku? Vegeta is petrified of Bills because he punked his father? Frieza already did that. King Kai's planet is now suddenly back.

The Super Saiyan God form looked cool but how it gets triggered is the dumbest idea ever for a form ever, it needs six pure hearted super saiyans and they use the fetus of Pan as one of them? lol no words can describe how stupid that is.

The fight between Goku and Bills was very good but for half the fight Goku uses his Super Saiyan form. Why? We've seen that over and over again for years upon years, we've never seen the God form why is it stealing away it's screen time? What's worse is that Goku only started doing better when he wasn't using that form.

There was no tension in this movie at all. It was too short, the latest One Piece film was 30 minutes longer.

@Bullza
You more or less summed up my opinions on the movie. I think Toriyama couldn't get himself to come up with a story as dramatic as the series mostly because production started around the time of that earthquake.
Dragon Ball and DBZ may be kids shows at heart, but they still managed to build up tension in a very believable way. In this movie it just feels too forced.

Of course its going to be like a reunion, the last film was what, around 15 years ago?

For Vegeta see the following thread - http://www.kanzenshuu.com/forum/viewtop ... egeta+soft . For Piccolo its not much different than playing babysitter for the boys in the Buu saga or a certain filler involving cars.

The humor was great and felt like actual Dragonball humor. Yeah Pilaf and co do drag on abit but the scenes that were funny, were really funny. Also, Dragonball has always been intended for children from the get go.

The Kaioshin dont know when Beerus (yes, its not Bills) wakes until he actually wakes. Beerus could sleep for 50 years then wake up a week later for all we know. Seeing as this is a few years after Buu, nothing says Kaio's planet could have been brought back with a wish. Vegeta was one of the few who actually had a grasp of what Beerus is capable of, why wouldn't he scared of him?

I somewhat agree on SSJG, as its only the design I somewhat enjoy. Perhaps it will be explained further in the future but until then we play the waiting game. Not much else can be done about it.

Its been explained multiple times that due to Goku being a fighting genius, he managed to somehow absorb SSJG permanently into his body. Its essentially Base Goku = SSJG Goku now. Goku may have been doing better since SSJ1 was stacked on top of the power of SSJG.

Its still one of the longest DBZ movies we have had. The only other DBZ film I could classify as "long" is Wrath of The Dragon.

I don't have a problem with Vegeta dancing and singing, since he did that to protect everyone, but Piccolo singing karaoke just for the hell of it is definitely out of character.

^ To me it's a 100% serious Piccolo that would be out of character. He's learnt to let go of his serious side and be more "human" with years, as you've seen with his many funny reactions and expressions (which already started a bit during the Cell Game when Goku couldn't teleport to the new Namek, but were mostly seen seven peaceful years later during the Majin Boo arc). His character was always great because he was a true and clever pro when it comes to analyzing the threat and the fights, but he became even more interesting when he developped a side of him that's more delirious sometimes - sometimes relunctantly such as when Gotenks forces him into the Volley Ball technic, something I'm sure even the Cell Game Piccolo woudn't have done - (the anime even emphasized this with exclusive things like him yelling at Krilin in a comical way because Krilin said Piccolo might be in danger of "evil-controlling" Majin powers).

I can totally see him taking the karaoke like a challenge, much like a fight, and it's always fun to see his very expressive reaction when he loses during the bingo as well, with this mix of seriousness "as if it was a fight" and comical exageration.

Piccolo not expressing a more delirious side to him would cancel his character's "humanization" given by Toriyama that took years to develop, and he still keeps his serious "analysis" side during dangerous situations and battles. So it's the best of both world, and it IS who Piccolo is during and after the Majin Boo arc.
