Akira Toriyama at Yusuke Murata's Party

Apparently, Toriyama was at a party by Yusuke Murata, the amazing artist of Eyeshield 21 and the redrawn version of One-punch Man. He did a drawing of Goku as a child as seen in the picture in the tweet. The drawing is on the leftmost paper. However, the drawing is not very clear because there are drawings from other mangaka such as Eiichiro Oda and Yoshihiro Togashi as well. I wonder if any avatars can be made from it. The drawing's style reminds me of the drawings Toriyama did at that Maximum the Hormone concert.

What I'd give to be at that party. :P I doubt we'll be able to get a higher quality photo out of that unless someone has already taken one though! Thanks for sharing this bit of information.

I mean, whether Jesus is real or not, he - he's had a bigger impact on the world than any of us have. And the same can be said for Bugs Bunny and - and Superman and Harry Potter. They've changed my life - changed the way I act on the earth. Doesn't that make them kind of real? They might be imaginary but, but they're more important than most of us here. And they're all gonna be around here long after we're dead. So, in a way, those things are more realer than any of us.

A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.

Now, Togashi is the important news :)

Other then that I bet that they could put one invitation to such a party on a licitation and get several thousand USD.

Togashi? Actually draw something? *laughs hysterically* Oh, that's a good one. :P

All jokes aside (although seriously, the only reason I refuse to start reading Hunter x Hunter yet is cuz I don't want to put up with those insane hiatuses during which I'd forget everything that was going on), it's always cool to see new little sketches from Toriyama like this.

Togashi is married to the author of Sailor Moon and plays Dragon Quest all day. Combine that with his crazy schedule towards the end of YuYu Hakusho, and he's just rich and tired. There's nothing "wrong" with him, health-wise. He only brought HunterXHunter back that one time because of the earthquake disaster; an attempt to brighten kids' spirits. Same reason Toriyama wanted Battle of Gods to be light on emotion and destruction.

I wish I could make out more the creators on those pages.

I wonder if the doodles can be sufficiently de-skewed in Photoshop...

No pictures of Toriyama himself? We haven't seen his face in like 10-15 years...

Despite ironically having the God of Destruction as the villain. :P
