Why didn't Cell get his own theme song in Kai

Post by The Monkey King » Sun Feb 16, 2014 10:47 pm

I really love the DB Kai theme songs. Goku got one, Vegeta got one, Freeza and even Dende got one and they all kick ass.
So I'm perplexed as to why Cell didn't get one, is there a good reason for this? Or was it more or less just laziness.
I mean come on he's one of the main villains of DB Kai, he definetely deserves one.

He did get a song, actually. It's called News of the Cell Games.

If they had Norio Wakamoto sing, it would cause head explosions across the entire planet from its sheer awesomeness.

Well, it's not like Wakamoto hasn't sung other hilariously unfitting random things before...like a cover of the Lucky Star opening...so I was pretty surprised when he wasn't the singer of News of the Cell Games, actually.

I always thought it was such a wasted opportunity that they didn't get the voice actors to sing the Kai villain songs. The Ginyu Corps song would have been so much more awesome if it had been performed by the actual Ginyu Corps! I'd have even tolerated their Kai replacement actors. It's a pity that Ryusei Nakao and Norio Wakamoto didn't get to contribute to their respective songs as well.

Hopefully we'll get a few more character songs for the Buu arc.
