Re: Why do fans hate/demonize Yamcha and Chi-Chi?
A god develops a super OP technique. Can barley use it himself, isn't even close to mastering it.
Goku shows up. Trains for the first six months to get stronger. Spends the next few months attempting to learn the technique.
Goku easily masters it and makes it ten times more potent than before on top of that. Oh, and he also enough time to learn the Genki-Dama too.
No, that's definitely not cheap.

Roshi didn't learn the Kamehameha...Roshi freaking invented it...that's much, much, much different
Tenshinhan was shown to Copy the Kamehameha with ease during his Character arc too...and even Krillin learned it fairly fast
The fact of the matter is Goku trained a lot for his "power-up's" his kids did not...Goten transformed into an SS while training with ChiChi...with FREAKING ChiChi
Goku trained with that ridiculous gravity system while traveling to Namek for Months and he still struggled vs Captain Ginyu FFS
While Gohan transformed into an SS2 and wanted to make Cell "suffer" what a little arrogant nitwit
Also there was no Near-Death Power Up Boosts in the Original Dragon Ball
And Goku wasn't stronger than Roshi for quite a bit of the original Dragon Ball...he barely surpassed him in the Tenshinhan Saga
Re: Why do fans hate/demonize Yamcha and Chi-Chi?
Kuririn says when Vegeta fights Zarbon that the only reason while the humans couldn't catch up was the near death power-up, call it a retcon but it is what it is. Goku was also only equal to Tenshinhan until he drank HAX WATER.
Gohan trained all the way from Raditz to Cell as well. Goten also sparred with Trunks in his spare time, who gravity trained with Vegeta.
In fact if you DQ all the characters that had cheap power-ups that only leaves Tenshinhan, Yamcha, Yajirobe, and Chaotzu.

Gohan had no reason to turn into SS...he didn't do 1/100 of the training Goku and Vegeta did
And Goten turning into SS was just a sick joke by AT
Also Battle of Gods sucked and I don't really care about SS God Goku nor am I a Goku Fanboy
Fact of the matter is the Human Characters did almost as much training as Goku and far more training then Gohan or Goten and didn't get nowhere near the amount of Power simply cuz Gohan and Goten were Saiyans

Gohan trained with Piccolo prior to the Saiyans coming and he trained with Goku on the Hyperbolic Time Chamber...that's 2 times in his life that he trained...that's it...after beating Cell he rested his ass for 7 years..and then he gets another cheap power-up with the Sword which involved Gohan sitting and staring at the sword while the old geezer runs circles around him for days
That's a fact...not a lie
And again bullshit...when he fought King Piccolo Goku climbed up all the way to Kami's Lookout and trained under Popo and Kami again so he could defeat King Piccolo
And also he could have died by drinking the Ultra Divine Water due to it's poisonous effect...so in no way was it a cheap power-up

Re: Why do fans hate/demonize Yamcha and Chi-Chi?
Goten and Trunks did the same Super Saiyan training as Goku and Gohan.
Goku got SS not through training, but because of getting angry at Freeza. Gohan got it through training. And Gohan's power either came from training or he was born with it; it's a combination. He trained a lot, but that training only had the gains it did because he had such high potential. The absurd power gains that set Goku for the rest of the series all came from near-death boosts, including one zenkai that gave 33 times more strength for no reason. Other than that... he trained on Kaio's planet (while Gohan trained with Piccolo), trained for the androids (with Gohan), trained in the ROSAT (with Gohan), and trained in between Buu and Cell.
Saiyan Saga- can do x2 with some effort, x3 is dangerous, x4 leaves him useless after a few seconds.
Freeza Saga (a few days later)- can do x10 effortlessly, only x20 is dangerous
Kinda like how he brought Goku from weaker than Ginyu to far stronger than 3rd form Freeza with one boost, while Vegeta got several boosts from more grevious injuries and only ended up around at that level? I.e. far below Goku?

He didn't really train on the way to Namek, he just repeatedly injured himself and ate senzus. That's no better than the power-ups Gohan was getting at this time, arguably worse since they gave such a disproportionate boost and he for whatever reason also made the kaio-ken many times stronger than it used to be.Yes...Ignore all the training Goku did in his life and ignore all the training he did while he was arriving on Namek,Ignore his training with King Kai too while you're at it

Re: Why do fans hate/demonize Yamcha and Chi-Chi?
Gohan trained with Piccolo for 6 months in the Saiyan arc. Piccolo was already superior to Kami, so Gohan had a better teacher than anyone Goku had in DB. Gohan then trained 3 years with Goku/Piccolo, and later again with Goku in the Time Chamber where Goku himself taught Gohan SSJ. I really don't see how it was illogical Gohan surpassed Goku by the Cell Arc.

Gohan only trained as much as the others during that time
There is no logical way that Goku wouldn't be stronger then Gohan when Goku was still training too...and all the others were training too like Vegeta and Future Trunks yet they didn't achieve SS2 during the Cell Saga but Gohan did...cuz for some reason AT wanted to make him the Hero...I can't fathom as to why he would want to do that but whatever
Even in the Buu Saga when Vegeta surpassed Gohan after 7 years of training AT had to give him the Z Sword to make him more powerful than Vegeta cuz I don't know I guess AT was in love with Gohan or something and wanted to make him the most powerful character...Gohan didn't even have to train for it at all...he was just sitting on the ground and Elder Kai was walking on circles around him...absolutely ridiculous
Still nothing beats Gotenks SS3 in terms of levels of stupidity as far as Canon goes(if we're counting GT Bulma turning Vegeta into SS4 with a Machine is the worst by far)

More like unfair advantage cuz AT is biased towards certain characters
Why the fuck does Gohan get to have an Ultimate Power Up by sitting on the ground while an old geezer walks circles around him...and on the other hand Vegeta has to train for Years to surpass him
Please don't try to tell me that Gohan and Goten train a lot...when they're spoiled with unreasonable ridiculous power-up's by AT while Goku and Vegeta had to train hardcore all of their life
Even the Human Characters train more than Gohan and Goten nuff said
While Vegeta continues to get shamed from Freeza Saga onwards
Gohan and Goten are easily the worst DBZ Characters...not counting Cell,The Androids,Babidi,Dabura,Buu and all that crap of course(not including most of the Humans here cuz the humans barely even show up in Z with the exception of Krillin)
