I read somewhere that FUNimation licenced Dragon Ball from AB Groupe but the damn internet's too large to find the source for that now so it's not a lie if I could find it again.
As Gyt Kaliba said, even if you find it, that doesn't necessarily make it true. We know for a matter of fact that Funimation dealt directly with Toei via Gen Fukunaga's family connection. Example of confirmation comes from one of the promotional interviews for the (as of then) upcoming Level Set blu-rays with Gen Fukunaga detailing when and how Funimation acquired the license.
And why are you so offended by it? FUNimation trashed Dragon Ball just as much as AB Groupe did back then.
Not offended by anything. Simply correcting false information.

If something is truly perfect, that's IT! The bottom line becomes there is no room for imagination! No space for intelligence or ability or improvement! Do you understand? To men of science like us, perfection is a dead end, a condition of hopelessness. Always strive to be better than anything that came before you but not perfect! Goku's either too red or too grey on your comparison so I'd prefer for them to use the colours like they were in Kai.
FUNimation 2015 Releases I want:
- Kai 2.0 on Blu-ray

What about this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mKiydAWAhGg
Looks almost identical to the Level Sets. Just maybe a bit more "dull"

It's the shitty, horrendously compressed pirated version of the Dragon Box going around. They managed to make the bitrate so low and compress the video so badly that you'd be forgiven for mistaking it for a 4:3 orange brick.

They also did DVDRips of DB, GT, Kai and etc but on one of their Dragon Ball episodes (026) they left the error which has the audio playing while the image is still (works perfectly on my R4 DB:CP1 release). Maybe they just got a bad disc and weren't aware of it.

But seriously, don't any of the "big guys" here have proper contact with funi? Can't you just go up to them and tell them there's some random kid on the internet doing a better job than them, without all these fancy, expensive tools? They might look up my methods and produce what you want to see.... heh.

You're not serious are you? Funimation doesn't care if some random kid can make a cartoon look prettier than they can. they care about what makes them money! And so far it seems these sets are doing their job as the orange bricks did. I'm almost willing to bet they'll re-remaster their remastered movies and release them over again.
The Dragonboxes are like a middle aged woman who still looks good through simply taking good care of her skin and body with maybe a tiny bit of makeup while the Orange Bricks are like a middle aged woman who get's 50 tons of botox, makeup and plastic surgery in order to look younger and as a result looks even worse. ~ ringworm128

You're relatively close samurai. There is a bit of logic that fans tend to have that people who buy sets WANT the best period. They want the best subjectively. This is basically what the audience wants.

And Engimo, I assume the first thing they'd say is "Why are we seeing your desktop? Don't you know how to take a screenshot?" And then you'd wake up from your dream.

And then everyone who ever worked with video will shake their head as yet another person who figured out the basics of how to tweak color felt they were just an awesome badass compared to people who do it for a living, and do it exactly as the people in charge wanted them to do it.

Looks like Season 2 is indeed an improvement. I prefer OB´s Season 1 color scheme though. Too bad, because those had the disappearing lines and not such thorough restoration.

1. I'm clearly a show off--I thought it'd be nice to show off the badass Madara wallpaper I made, while I was showing off how good I am at colour correcting. In fact, I wanted it to have some significance in the minds of the people who saw it, and it clearly did :)
2. When do I tell them to show FUNimation these pictures? Read that I say to go and "tell" FUNimation...not "show"...gawd....
3. I do know how to take a screenshot--this is a screenshot. I think you mean to ask: "Hey, guy who is superior to me in every way, don't you know how to take a snapshot?". And trust me, I do know how to and probably can do even that better than you.... :)
4. "basics of how to tweak color"............................ lel. You think this is basic? Sorry mate, this is no where near what you do, which is at most sitting in front of your tv adjusting the brightness and contrast. This involves a lot more. And if you look at the link in my post after that, you'll see the video with very advanced colour adjustments was made over a year ago. So yeah, you're misconceived if you think I'm that guy who is overly excited because he's just learned something new.
5. And yeah, I am better than most people at doing what they do for a living. Also, scientists have discovered that following orders from the stupid "people in charge" is the main cause of stupid work being produced..... Go science!!! :D

In case it went beyond your cognition, the numbering was just to make it clear that I was going chronologically to your comment.

...That's one hell of a response. One that's not tolerated on Kanzenshuu let alone towards an admin of the site.

From the way you type and your misuse of many words - I'll just assume you're young.

You really don't know more than a professional. Watching a few YouTube videos on colour correction doesn't make you of a working professional caliber.

That arrogance has no place in life let alone on this forum.

You'll have to excuse the 'mini-modding' but hey ho, it's probably better to hear it from a fellow user before an admin comes in and says the same thing in what would probably be harsher words.

I misuse words? Meng.... I don't think you see how many words you're misusing; I'll assume you're an 80 year old man who's forgot everything he learned in school.

"Watching a few YouTube videos on colour correction...." see, you're that impressed by it that you believe I needed help from someone else. Well, let me assure you, I learned it all on my own. I mean, if you can find an adequate video tutorial on colour correction that demonstrates skills greater than mine, send it to me--there's always room for improvement. But no....no tutorials. Just experimenting with an intelligent mind.

Define "arrogance". Because, you're obviously calling me it because of how much I'm showing off....but you should understand that his comment was arrogant as well--there's more to "arrogance" than just showing off. I mean you're not being as much of a dick as he was trying to be, so overall I'm not responding nearly as pretentiously as I did with him. And what? Are you saying he has some "power" here? lol why does that matter? Just because he's an admin of a forum doesn't mean I'll accept him being a dick. And anyone can try and harshly criticise me; I'll just explain why they're wrong, ten times as harshly :|

Buddy you need to calm down, there's no room for that type of attitude in a community.
Also, you spelt criticize wrong which makes me think you're young.

Oh god.... oh god.... see, I mean before you try and be a smart-ass with me, sit there for a good 10 mins.... and think to yourself...."should I really do this? Clearly this Enigmo guy is intelligent and righteous as hell....should I really do this? Will it backfire?" But basically, I'll just tell you I didn't spell it wrong. I won't explain why. Make it your purpose in life to see why you're wrong and I'm right. Like, the only reason I am appearing as such a dick is because you guys aren't so.........................you find the word :)

This isn't YouTube so if you could respect others that would be a good start because here we don't use that type of language.

Corpsecreate is one of the guys of this community who've done some really nice modification to his encodings of Dragon Box Z videos plus there's a three step tutorial for anyone that wants to gain those results so it's pretty much out there for whoever wants it.

I can already see that you're not going to last long here bud. There's nothing wrong with you ''thinking'' that you're better than Funimation.(You know...a company that makes millions of dollars) But you're not hired at a company like Funimation and if you were you would have been fired because AGAIN! They do not care if you can make a cartoon look as pretty as them. They care about whether you can make them money! But seriously though..lighten up. no need to get all pissy about a cartoon.

See I don't like when you people have to mention other people in order to counter me..... they're not your freaking pokemon. It's like obviously, I want to counter you, because you're wrong, but I don't want to offend someone who has nothing to do with this. So I'll ignore what you've said about Corpsecreate... but show me these tutorials then. Because I have not seen them.
