Of course it sucks as a fighting game.

It's not even a fighting game.

I... I think I'm fighting others though when I'm playing... :?

The core premise of a fighting game is I pick a guy, you pick a guy and we duke it out in an arena until either A. One of our health bars reaches zero or B. One of us ends up out of bounds.

But this isn't an RPG. Wikipedia could be unreliable sometimes, but it clarifies it as a fighting game. But why is it not a fighting game, and if it isn't, what is it?

It's a fighting game with RPG elements. As video games continue to evolve, the lines between genre's continue to blur. That being said yes, this game would fall into the "fighting game"" genre.

EDIT

Code has been redeemed
Microsoft Points have been discontinued in 2013 and they use real currencies in every country nowadays, so it's 300Y so that's the price to pay.

I refused to pay to unlock all characters on my SFxT and in this case I won't be doing it too because they're right on the damn disc.
FUNimation 2015 Releases I want:
- Kai 2.0 on Blu-ray

"Squad Based Combat Game" sounds about right for a description, but I don't see the game magazines (Do those still exist?) listing that as a genre. I'd argue that Action RPG would describe the game a bit better than Fighting would. The single player experience in particular feels more like a mission based Action RPG.

I'd call it a MOBA.

That's expensive for the game being auctioned but it has those "rare" characters that people want to play as so someone might snatch it.

Namco Bandai's lucky that Dragon Ball Z is nowhere near as big as Capcom's Street Fighter or they'd see tons of fans bashing them for unfair practises.

I just noticed that Majin Vegeta's shoes don't have the yellow part for toe in this game.

From all the good things they could have learned from the developers of Street Fighter, they picked the worst thing.
Capcom's DLC School, aka, how to make you pay for what you already own.

Let's wait for Ultimate Dragonball Z: Battle of Z Turbo Arcade Edition

So i finanlly got the game (yaay) and while i'm loving it to death, I believe there's something wrong with my copy. The cutscnes have some wierd thing going on with them, the sound effects play ahead of the animation and the lip-syncing is worst than from i've seen on youtube videos, also the opening is glicthes, it's like It can't be playback or something. Am I the only one who has this problem?

The lip-syncing isn't that great anyway but the blotchy opening doesn't sound right. Maybe there is something wrong with your copy. Any chance you could get it replaced?

Well yeah I could get it replaced, but since it doesn't affect the gameplay at all, I don't think there's a need.

Does the Blu-ray disc have any scratches? It may be why it's glitchy.

The worst cutscene is the one when Super Buu appears and starts screaming before his mouth opens. :problem:
