Movie 7 is the only movie where Goku fought without using it.
I was
not looking forward to making a guess at this one, Metrite, so I sure am glad you stepped in. Originally I was planning to count only the instances where he shouts the attack name, but to hell with that; as long as his hands are cupped in the Kamehameha position, I don't much care. The color doesn't matter much, either.
Metrite wrote:Don't forget movies 3, 6, 7, and 12(in 12 he still had a little of his blue shirt left, but most his upper cloths were gone).
I forgot about 6! . . . but then, this is such a huge list coming straight from memory that nodoby can be expected to remember everything, right? Movie 7? I thought he was still wearing . . . no, no; you were right. @#$% me.
But since I'm looking for
completely stripped away clothing, I'm not counting Movie 12.
Metrite wrote:That happened in movie 11(Done by Trunks) and 12(done by Veku).
Thank you and thank you!
Metrite wrote:I think movie 4 is the only one with regeneration seen(unless you'd count Metal Cooler's self repairs as regeneration).
Yeah, I'll count it. It might have been a mechanical regeneration, but it still made it more difficult for Goku to defeat the guy.
All right, then!
Metrite, yer name's going up onto the list now!
Steven Perry wrote:How about...
# of times an enemy is hit with some sort of flying punch (like what Goku did with Piccolo in Dragonball)? Goku did it in the Hildegarn movie (Dragon fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiire ), and Lord Slug movie. I think he smashed Cooler with one, but it's fuzzy...
Movie 6? It happened, all right; he took off the Metal Cooler's whole left arm. I'm trying to remember if he did it in Movie 5, too . . . but Movies 4, 6 and 13 make it more than enough to at least post this as a category.
Steven Perry wrote:# of times Piccolo is meditating? I'm not sure how many.
Ha! Who
is?
Well, let's see. First, we'll change it to
# of times Piccolo is metitating/training so we can catch as many Piccolos as we can. In Movie 1, he was alone in the mountains, practicing with his ki. Movie 2 . . . ah, frig; does anyone remember? It's been a while since I saw that one. (I wish FUNi would get on with those releases!) I don't think he had the chance in Movie 3, but we know for sure he was meditating in Movie 4. We didn't see him in Movie 5 until he started fighting. In Movie 6, he isolated himself in that room on the Capsule spaceship . . . but I don't think he was meditating; he still heard everything that was being said in the next room. It was more like he was looking out the window. Movie 7, no; Movie 8, no; Movie 9, no; Movie 10, no . . . and after that he just stops appearing altogether.
Hmm. Just the two times. Well, we still need a Piccolo category, so here's the first! If someone wants to chip in with what Piccolo was doing in Movie 2, I'll add that to the number.
Steven Perry wrote:# of times Gohan enters a childish cartoon world? When he was drunk in the 1st movie, and some instances when he's walking around the world.
Wasn't Movie 1 the only time? What are these instances of Gohan walking around the world? Were they childish cartoon worlds?
Steven Perry wrote:# of times the Earth is overwhelmed by darkness: Lord Slug movie, and Tree Of Might.
Thank you. Category added. If anyone else thinks of any "dark" movies, speak up and I'll add them.
Steven Perry wrote:# of times Gohan is harassed by Chi-Chi about his studies:
In the Super Android 13 movie, and the Tree Of Might (I think).
Hmm. Didn't he have his nose in the books at the start of Movie 5? I can't remember if Chi-Chi harassed him to get it done.
Steven Perry wrote:# of times Gohan becomes defiant and escapes from his house:
EDIT: While watching movie 4, I noticed a flaw. When Chi-Chi, Bulma, Oolong, and Icarus go to investigate the mysterious landing, the person in the crowd standing next to Chi-Chi has his shirt colour switch from green to pink. Also, what's happened to Shenron's lower jaw? Ahh well...
Was that the only instance? If we change it to
# of times Gohan defies Chi-Chi to join the battle, we can include Movie 7 also.
Steven Perry wrote:EDIT 2: I've got the best one!
# of times everybody stands in a group and laughs at the end?
And who can argue with that?
Once again, Mr. Perry, you've proven to be an invaluable resource to this long and pointless endeavor of ours. I can't thank you enough!
