Great podcast gentlemen. It was actually pretty eye opening. I learned quite a bit about the Dragon Boxes and you fan-vet-type-persons. I'm looking forward to getting these sets and hearing your thoughts on 'em.

FOR SCIENCE!
It would amuse me if repeating the experiment with a Z disc got completely different results.

Oh, right. I finished the second half of the podcast right after I posted that... *reads later posts and kicks Hujio, nicely*

I was one of the persons who bought all the orange brick sets, & it was only because I never bought the previous releases, they were at a good price, & I thought that they would never put out the Dragon Boxes in the US. Funimation, you drive me crazy!

I propose we use episode 191 of Z, as it showed the most artifacting problems with FUNi's encoding process. And I'll even provide the VOB.

Finally got around to giving this podcast a listen and it was great to witness everyone's initial reactions to the announcement of the U.S. Dragon Box. It's funny because at the time of their release I had no idea what the Dragon Boxes were (Japanese or U.S. versions) or what made them special. I picked up almost all of them at Best Buy for around 30-40 each and they just sat around in my home for two years. Then I decided to become more knowledgeable about the Dragon Ball fanbase and general DB history and I find out all this great history about DBZ home media releases in the states and so much more!

Today I even had a gander at the original 2009 Otakon announcement panel about the Dragon Boxes. Hearing those screams and shouts upon its reveal was surreal and it was great to see the hardcore community finally vindicated in some way.
