Wow, it looks like the Madman release might be superior. I'm hoping they'll fix the outro too, then Manga UK will eventually pick up the Madman version like with the DVDs :P

Manga still don't have the movies or Kai. No news on them too. It will probably be the 2017/2018 season since
We'll see these. If we see them. I think they have some licencing issues with dragon ball stuff since most other releases like fairy tail only come out after a few months of the U.S release.

How? They're surely going to be basically the same thing (just the usual NTSC - PAL differences).
Season 1 certainly looks different, the colours are less radioactive. It looks like the "remastering" process is slightly turned down compared to the US release.

We're not yet sure if those are actual screenshots, or are doctored for the website.

It'd be nice if they were actual screenshots, but then Season 2 looks the same on the website. :|

One thing for sure is that they are definitely not doctored level set photos. I was suspicious at first at this being the case due to the colours but after comparing between the two, they are pretty different.

I think these might be legit.

I don't understand. The Madman shots just look terribly compressed and filled with artifacts. They'll release and look exactly the same as FUNi's ones. They're bad screenshots, that's all.

To clarify: what many seem to think is a reduced DNR just looks like the artifacts you get from badly compressed JPEGS. Regarding the colours, desaturation or altered colours are pretty common if colour profiles are altered.

It won't. It's just edited screenshots less saturated and downscaled from FUNimation's Season BDs footage nothing is changed on the BDs themselves, hmm, they seem to have false advertisement for this release on their website.

If you take a DBZ Season BD 1080 screenshot and then downscale it to 640x360 it looks better than the Orange Bricks because they've fixed what was wrong with them.

Well, I think that's it really. The way Funimation does these Blu-rays, there's not much detail in the final product.

Has season 4 gotten a release date yet?
The Dragonboxes are like a middle aged woman who still looks good through simply taking good care of her skin and body with maybe a tiny bit of makeup while the Orange Bricks are like a middle aged woman who get's 50 tons of botox, makeup and plastic surgery in order to look younger and as a result looks even worse. ~ ringworm128

Amazon has it listed for a May 12th release. Other sites like anime corner store and rightstuf have May 13th.

This is an 80s/90s animated all-ages show that was popular amongst kids. It's not some potent super weapon that might fall into the wrong hands that we have to protect from evil.

It's may 13. Releases are always on Tuesdays, or the rare Fridays.

That was actually a little typo I made, I meant to say 13th instead.

For what it's worth, I'm constantly updating the first post of this thread with any new information. If anyone's ever curious about a release date or anything like that, I always post that kind of stuff along with a link to the official FUNimation store link.

The release is 05/13/2014. :D

Oh, there's a 13th month? Just kidding. :P

I'm very curious to see Season Four cover because FUNimation is actually putting effort on these covers (the Kai and Level covers were just a character slapped on the front cover and that was about it).
FUNimation 2015 Releases I want:
- Kai 2.0 on Blu-ray
