Viz English Jaco Graphic Novel Confirmed!

Viz has just confirmed that they will release a print edition of Jaco in January 2015, which makes this seem like a very early announcement. That's nearly a year away!

Does Viz usually schedule out their announcements this early? Great to hear even if it's so far away but I'll probably get the tankobon in April regardless.

I've been waiting to heard about this for awhile. I loved reading Jaco and I do want to own an actual physical volume of it. I wonder if the bonus stuff about Gine is going to be in the US version.

I would think so. Hasn't it practically been confirmed that the special edition of the tankobon release differs only by having three accessories released with it? It would seem like a big wasted opportunity to not include Gine.

What exactly is Jaco, is he in some way similar to Mega Man (a robot boy)?

I don't know if I'll pick this up or not.

Pretty stoked for this. I can't decide if I'm happy or not that Viz has announced this so far in advance. On the one hand, I'm really glad to know that it is coming, on the other, it's a long freaking wait.

Weird that they would announce this so soon. Maybe there's something big planned for stateside release at around the same time... ? :wink:
