Episode of Nami aired in a 130 minute timeslot despite only being 106 minutes long. Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods is airing in a 130 minute timeslot despite the original theatrical runtime being 85 minutes. Fifteen or twenty minutes of new animation might just be possible. Take this with a grain of salt, folks.

Each thirty minute timeslot usually has about six minutes of commercials, too. This is looking very interesting.

Well, considering the writer of the 20th Century Boys movies wrote this movie, Piccolo should sing this.

I hope it's mostly funny stuff, though I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to see that sequence of all the other characters trying to help Goku fight Beerus. I love those scenes, even if they all end the same way.

Oh, and give Chaozu some lines this time.

It could also be a flash back scene of how they turned into kids.

I'd hope not. They spend nearly a minute of the movie explaining how they got turned into kids. A flashback scene would be redundant, I think.

I would like a little 30-second post-credits epilogue showing them summoning Shen Long again and accidentally wishing themselves into old geezers. Not for GT connections or anything. I'd just love to see it.

I think he means a scene showing Goku transitioning from the orange to the blue dogi at the end of the film. Maybe something showing his renewed excitement for future challenges.

Toei always does this. I remember they release the DC of Movie War Mega Max a few months later after the first home video release.

I already bought the blu-ray, so it's too early for me to even think about re-buying the import for the extra scenes. (I'd probably hope for Funi to get it and just buy their dvd of the director's cut so I can watch it on my laptop). The extra scenes would have to be really juicy for me to want the blu-ray of it.

Since there are a certain number of countries that still have to release Battle of Gods, I guess it means once it's transfered over to them to make their own dub and show it, Toei will send them the extended version while they're at it.

So in the end, the more a country had to wait to get it, the more it gets a complete version.
What if Toei specifically told Funimation and 20th century to wait for so long because they were working on improving/extending the movie to give them a more complete version? Likely, France and other countries will also benefit from the extended wait with an extended movie... (yes, okay, I'm an optimistic kind of guy )

Since there is likely nothing to add to the fights, it is safe to assume all added scenes will be for funny or relief moments. (I don't think they would add plot-extending elements either)
I just hope it's not ALL about Pilaf and his gang, I would also like to have more of the other characters as well, even if it's just casual talks or amusing party events showing them interacting with each other.

I'm also trying to think of where they're going to add stuff. So far, my guess are:
-Vegeta playing host has more to it (recall that Toriyama art of Vegeta holding a wine bottle before Beerus all waiter-like?)
-longer Vegeta vs Beerus fight (it was mentioned earlier in the thread how it looked like there was a jump cut)
-also mentioned earlier in the thread, them actually animating Piccolo's singing
-shot of Gokû hiding and watching the action (both because the writing of "show, don't tell" and, while flimsy, they did show him hiding/spying on Vegeta in the Heroes BOG promo) having him just appear and then mention having been spying from somewhere to Beerus makes me think there's a reaction shot of Goku watching Vegeta's BINGO song and dance
-Gokû getting in that pinch Toriyama mentioned and everyone trying to help him

I have no clue what the additional Pilaf Gang bit will be, though.

I really hope for more screen time from Krillin, Tien and the rest that didn't get much talk. I wouldn't mind more Vegeta as well.

This would be pretty good - as it felt kinda pointless having all of the extended cast present just for a couple of shots. I mean, I get the whole 'let's bring everyone together on screen for a new little caper' idea, but when only one or two of the characters actually have any real involvement in the plot, it feels like a bit of a waste.

The cynic in me says that we're not going to see anything like this, though - as if extra voice recording was required, re-hiring a large number of the ensemble cast members would be expensive - too expensive for an increasingly perspicacious Toei.

I REALLY REALLY REALLY hope so. Just left 15 days to watch it. If you want to watch it online, then you must download and install keyhole tv. Which is allow you to watch japanese channel for free by legal way.
Anyways, if there would be new movie then I think that timeline must be between with last episode of z and first episode of gt (after training with Uub).

Just remembered, I'd also like to see the conversation that ends with them choosing to make Gokû the ssjg power's host, because while they have that discussion on who is or isn't pure-hearted, we skip the former and all that's mentioned is Vegeta complaining about why Gokû's the "main".

I doubt they'll show that, because choosing Goku can't really be justified.
