Two things I particularly loved are the use of Cell's US theme (this is only the second time the Falconer score's been used, right?) and "KILL SON GOKU. FEED BIRDS."

I think the best part to me was the Toriyama bird and his dinosaur. "He does what?"

The only thing i felt needed improvements was the pacing, i think it was too fast in this episode.
I mean, sometimes characters were talking so fast i had to listen 3 times to understand.
Otherwise, good episode, nothing amazing but nothing too bad either.

Late happy birthday Gaffer, hope you had a good one.

I've been keeping up with the episodes even though I haven't been commenting lately, but I just had to pop in on this one and say that, as a huge Kuririn fan...I love everything about this episode. I have been waiting so long to see how you guys would play out the whole Kuririn/18 dynamic, and it already looks like it's going to be a lot of fun, heh.

Highlights:

- The Toriyama bird bit ("It does what?!")
- 18's rationalizion for kissing Kuririn
- Piccolo and Nail interaction... all of it
- Mr. Popo tripping ("a literal gallon")

Kind of curious as to what direction you'll go with Cell's voice(s?).

The Kame/Kami joke amused me, because I used to be confused about the same thing when I watched the show on Toonami.

He sounds exactly like Dameon Clarke's Cell.

Exactly.

Knowing your..."colorful" opinions on the English dubs, are you saying that in a good fashion, or a bad fashion?

I think it won't be like that in the abridge series. If it were a complete imitation of Dameon Clark that they were going for, then I'd wonder why Lordcrehavos wasn't chosen as he is just spot on http://www.youtube.com/user/LordCrehavo ... &flow=grid

Kaiser said that it was because they were looking for a different interpretation of the character that Taka played well. So I'd think it'd be different then this as if they wanted a dead on copy, then Lordcrehavos would be the one to go with.

I'm pretty neutral on Clarke's Cell. He's acceptable, just no Wakamoto (who is?). But then, Wakamoto is no Wakamoto now, either.

I just think it's amusing that it's exactly identical. If they ever need Clarke but can't get him, Funimation now has an extra option.

If anyone is really looking for a good interpretation of how P. Cell is gonna be, they need merely look toward Alucard from our Hellsing Ultimate Abridged mixed with Dameon Clarke's Cell from Kai.

Not really, I'm pretty sure I can do a better impression of Cell's second form than that, no offense to Taka.

I personally was hoping Cell would be done by WeeklyTubeShow/Remix. His Cell is so hammy, watch!

So is this the same bird that Goku named Toriyama?
