#17 and #18 from the future

I alway thought that the androids from the future timeline were evil from the start, that their brain, their standard character was different, that Dr. Gero failed more than the present Dr. Gero. But could it be that they were actually mentally exact the same as their counterparts of the main timeline and just changed into evil monsters over the years of boredom? What if #17 and #18 from Future Trunks timeline were as "nice" as the present timeline ones at the time they where activated? Then they search goku, who dies by his heart disease and they start to get bored. Also there is no Android#16 who loves life. Then their character changes over the years, destroyng everything, losing their morals not to kill everyone just because they see them, and they mentally become the monsters Future Trunks feared.
That would mean the Androids in the main timeline aren't different, they just have a different environment.

That is the most common interpretation, that the androids of the Future are the same, only with a lot of more years of them doing whatever they want.
