Showing King Cold outside of the events that we do see him in would pretty much just a "A day in the life of Freeza". And Honestly watching a King be a King is pretty boring.
But say Cold doesn't show up in the manga at all.. Would you all prefer him over Cooler in Movie 5 and quite possibly 6 as well?

It's not too late. One day, it will be.

Interesting concept... which would of course lead to "What transformation stage is he in and can he get stronger?!!?!" I honestly don't know if I would rather have Cold in movie 5/6 opposed to Cooler. Personally I like to watch dub once in a while and I HATED the dub voice of Cold and actually like Cooler's so I guess I'm happy with everything the way it is currently. That's another reason I am glad Future Trunks did away with him quickly!goku the krump dancer wrote:Showing King Cold outside of the events that we do see him in would pretty much just a "A day in the life of Freeza". I'd rather have Vegeta go SSJ and have a decent fight with Mecha Freeza and King Cold.

I kind of wish there was more conclusive information on King Cold because I hate how DB Multiverse has portrayed him. He shouldn't have any transformations. All the forms they're giving him is ridiculous.

Funny, I like his DBM portrayalCaptain Sauza wrote:I kind of wish there was more conclusive information on King Cold because I hate how DB Multiverse has portrayed him. He shouldn't have any transformations. All the forms they're giving him is ridiculous.
Cool stuff that I upload here because Youtube will copyright claim it: https://vimeo.com/user60967147

The forms they are giving him are the forms that Freeza had. Cold looks like he is in Freeza's second form, so they gave him his version of the third form and final form. Don't see what's weird about that, other than him being way stronger than Freeza.Captain Sauza wrote:I kind of wish there was more conclusive information on King Cold because I hate how DB Multiverse has portrayed him. DB Multiverse gets it way off with the entire Freeza family, imo. The problem I have with it is that Freeza's forms are unique to him. DB Multiverse gives King Cold all these additional forms based on the flawed logic that 'he looks like second form Freeza so therefore he's in his second suppression'. I don't know why it's such an outlandish idea for so many that Freeza's 2nd suppression looks similar to King Cold because he modeled it after the appearance of his father.rereboy wrote:The forms they are giving him are the forms that Freeza had. And then you have that ridiculousness in DBM about Cooler being afraid of being the weakest in the family again all due to some needless dub line that Funi added to mess with the original dub.

You have no idea if that's true or not because nothing has ever been confirmed in regards to that. You just have your interpretation, your opinion, and you don't like DBM because they have another possible interpretation, another possible opinion.Captain Sauza wrote:The problem I have with it is that Freeza's forms are unique to him.
The only thing wrong about how DBM handled him, was that Cold couldn't have been significantly stronger than Freeza (with transformations or no transformations), because if he was, his whole scene his Trunks in the manga doesn't really make sense. But him having transformations doesn't really go agaisnt anything established and is, in fact, a perfectly reasonable interpretation given his appearance.

Re: Do you feel the King Cold segment was rushed?
While Cold not being able to transform wasn't stated, it was very heavily implied. Him being weaker than Freeza is stated fact, though, and them making him so strong is what's really wrong with his portrayal, especially considering how completely unnecessary it is.

Herms wrote:The fact that the ridiculous power inflation is presented so earnestly makes me just roll my eyes and snicker. Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

I just wanted the confirmation if that was his normal form or second form. And if he had more.
Trunks killed him too quickly xD.

A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.
