Aww, that's too bad. I had no idea that he voiced Bright too.

Dang, I loved his work. Saito, Tenshinhan, Draco Shiryuu... he had such a 'a man of principles' voice. ;_;

A real shame, rest in peace.

Yes I was really saddened to hear the news. I loved his hilarious performance as Tatewaki Kuno from Ranma 1/2. Fifty-six is way too young to die.

It seems like we wont hear him as Tenshinhan in Sparking Neo. :cry:

Well there's a good chance they've recorded all the voices for it already.

Yeah, they could even use the game as a last tribute to him.

How sad. A great actor, undoubtedly. He will certainly be missed.

Hirotaka Sozuoki was an exceptional seiyuu. I really hope the dialogue for Sparking! NEO has already been recorded, because I just can't imagine Tenshinhan yelling "Ki-ko-ho!" in a voice that isn't the voice that I've been hearing and admiring for years; which brings about the question of a new DBZ game. He will be missed.

RIP, Sozuoki-san.

That's doubtful... As with Super Robot Taisen (where he appeared as Bright, as well as Taiha from Hades Project Zeorymer, Banjou Haran from Daitarn 3, Shingo from Sengoku Majin Go Shogun, and other characters), they likely have enough lines recorded by Suzuoki to use in future games...

Still, I'm really saddened by this. I enjoyed him as Bright especially, and loved the dignified nature of his voice in his other roles (like Shiryu, as mentioned before, and also how he portrayed Kunou in Ranma 1/2). He went way too early, and he's honestly irreplaceable in my mind. :/

What a damn shame. A talented actor and a good man passing away at such a tender age.
Rest in peace, Hirotaki Suzuoki. You'll be fondly remembered by us all.

This is a big shame. He comes from a period of really good voice actors (Tohru Furuya, Akira Kamiya, Kei Tomiyama, Ryo Horikawa, Kaneto Shiwozawa, etc) who seem to be dying off. It's just a shame that even if the older Saint Seiya cast was kept, they'd have to recast Shiryu anyway.

Rest in Peace :(
