Am I the only one who doesn't dislike him in the role?

He's not horrible per say, but he's definitely not someone I would consider first for voicing Goku.UltimateHammerBro wrote:Ironically, the first information we ever received was that he wouldn't be Goku.dbboxkaifan wrote:Just don't give Kirby Morrow the role of Goku ever again.

MY HOLY GRAIL (110% Serious. Please sell me one)Mayuri Kurotsuchi wrote:"In this world, nothing perfect exists. It may be a cliche after all but it's the way things are. That's precisely why ordinary men pursue the concept of perfection, it's infatuation. But ultimately I have to ask myself "What is the true meaning of being perfect?" and the answer I came up with was nothing. Not one thing. The truth of the matter is I despise perfection! If something is truly perfect, that's IT! The bottom line becomes there is no room for imagination! No space for intelligence or ability or improvement! Do you understand? To men of science like us, perfection is a dead end, a condition of hopelessness. Always strive to be better than anything that came before you but not perfect! Scientist's agonize over the attempt to achieve perfection! That's the kind of creatures we are! We take joy in trying to exceed our grasp, in trying to reach for something that in the end, we have to admit may in fact be unreachable!"

Well, a Namekian's reproductive organs are somewhere inside their torsos, so why would they also have a random penis/mangina that they have no use for?TheBlackPaladin wrote:

And an element of DBZ Abridged has now officially been acknowledged by one of the voice actors as being canon.![]()
Care to elaborate on that?Bullza wrote:Ocean dub of DB Kai?....So utterly pointless.
I don't think he's criticising the artistic merit behind the idea or the credentials of the people involved, but instead questioning the need for a second English language dub.AjayLikesGaming wrote:Care to elaborate on that?Bullza wrote:Ocean dub of DB Kai?....So utterly pointless.
Some users, like myself, hold that initial dub in a much higher regard that anything that followed it.
Mmm, my reply is still relevant either way. There's a large amount of people who really enjoy Ocean's cast and would like to see them give it another shot with an accurate script. Or at least, I think so.
How does that address the need for it? We've already got an accurate English dub.AjayLikesGaming wrote: Mmm, my reply is still relevant either way. There's a large amount of people who really enjoy Ocean's cast and would like to see them give it another shot with an accurate script. (hopefully)
Because not everybody considers the portrayals of characters in that dub as perfectly accurate.Blade wrote:How does that address the need for it? An accurate dub doesn't always mean it's better, let's say Big Green Dub / Speedy Dub was 100% accurate would it be superior to FUNimation's Dragon Ball Kai dub? No. You've also have to think of the voice acting (not everyone likes Schemmel for Goku, Sabat for Vegeta or Colleen for Gohan).Blade wrote:How does that address the need for it? That would represent a want from a minority of fans, but not a need. Who would this new dub be for? Where would it be aired? How would they monetise it? Funimation has sold their dub to practically every English-speaking territory, and even the ones where it hasn't aired on TV, the home release is available. You can bet for sure that Funimation's distribution licenses are exclusive, there's simply no room or scope for this Ocean-produced Dub to get a slice of the action. Keep in mind that the Westwood dub of Z has never even seen a home release - which if the same stands for Kai, which is likely, that's probably the largest potential revenue stream for it immediately scrubbed out.AjayLikesGaming wrote:Because not everybody considers the portrayals of characters in that dub as perfectly accurate.Blade wrote:How does that address the need for it? No home release yet. Manga UK have only recently started distributing Funimation's products. We've just had the second Green Brick, rounding off GT, with Dragonball already schedualled to follow. You can bet that Kai will be coming next.dbboxkaifan wrote:In UK there's no home release and despite that it has aired on some TV channel I've not met a person who has seen it, except for those in this forum.
It would've helped spreading the popularity had they made this TV channel available as a TV App on PlayStation and Xbox (no paywall like iBBC Player + Sky Player's Sky News is free) due to having such feature.
