Whis saying Beerus will awake 3 years later is my hope.

I'm pretty sure that line was changed in the extended version and for good reason because after the 10 year gap Goku said he hasn't seen Bulma in five years (In the English Dub IDK about the manga). So if he did wake up in three years it wouldn't make sense.

No, I think it wasnt. In this new version they talk about it too and we even see Whis set the clock (new scene).
It would still make sense if Goku and Bulma didnt see each other and were in different places

I don't.

It's one of the reasons I don't like him. He's incapable of being professional and biting his tongue towards fans who are are perhaps not aware of the volume of which he gets asked things. It just strikes me as incredibly rude and self absorbed. You literally scroll down his feed and it's just him going off at people.

He's also bitten people's heads off for bringing up DBZ in any form at all. Responding with things like 'I'm Sean Schemmel, an actor, I am not the character Goku'. It just strikes me as very pompous. No shit, you're an actor, but you're most famous for playing that damn character so either embrace that or be polite if someone innocently brings it up.

His whole attitude just gets to me. I really dislike the guy.

I think AT most likely forgot about that due to his poor memory. Also Toei is bad with continuity in the first place anyways.

True. By "Toriyama trademark", I guess what I mean is that it makes BoG feel like "Toriyama's Dragon Ball". It's hard to imagine a gag like that in the previous movies (or at least the previous DBZ movies). For better and/or worse.

I don't know why people are surprise that we got a director's cut of BOG. Toei has done director's cut for movies for their other franchises before like Kamen Rider and Super Sentai. I knew that we would get some type of director's cut a few months after the home video release. I hope Funi does not pull a Eva 1.0 on us when the movie comes out in the US. I remember Funi release Eva 1.0 in late 2009 with no special features then release 1.11 on DVD and Blu-Ray with special features, a 20-page booklet with character art and production stills. If they do then we will get BOG on DVD and Blu-Ray with no special features in early 2015 then a special edition in winter 2015 around the holiday season.

It might be awhile until FUNimation gets the extended cut, as I'm sure they will have to purchase the rights like it's a brand new product. That was a smart move on TOEI's part to release it late, they increased ratings of the TV showing, and they get to sell it to international distributors twice.

Yeah, Schemell's got his personality flaws. He seems like he has a short fuse and is somewhat touchy. But, he also seems like a nice guy, and is very humble when it comes to his role of Goku. In fact, he seems like the kind of guy who would flame me if I accidently phrased something in a way I didn't mean to, and him making an account to fight it out with PenguinTruth was kind of petty. But, on the other hand, to paraphrase him...

"Some people say I'm the best Goku and I appreciate that, but really, it doesn't feel like I'm being Goku so much as people are letting Goku be in me".

He voices probably THE most famous anime hero in the world, yet, he always talks about it as a privilege rather than as a job, in spite of Goku not being the most three dimensional person in the world (which he has also said on occasion). Plus he really does seem to be very passionate about his work. So if anything, I'm glad he gets to voice Goku even more. Playing characters as peaceful and calm as Goku tends to be very therapeutic for guys who otherwise have temper problems.

Though I liked this special edition, what bugs me as a DB music fan is the fact that now my soundtrack CD is incomplete. I suppose the newly added pieces are from the Buu Kai score and they're probably going to be included on a future soundtrack release, but I'm worried about some extended tracks being left unreleased forever.

My thoughts pretty much echo yours. Makes me kinda bummed I bought an incomplete version of the movie/OST.

I am surprised by Mr. Schemmel's replies. On the other hand he is also just a human being and can be annoyed as much as we can. Not that it should really justify anything completely.
