Mostly everyone at my school saying "What Dragon ball Z? You mean the show everyone is constipated?" I hate things like that. As for over 9000, when ever I am faced with something that's involves numbers....Over 9000 comes out like an instinct. Most of my friends enjoy DBZ and other animes as well, though I feel like a jerk when one of them says a quote from the show but messed up a phase/word then I correct them lol.

Lol I can relate to this. I really don't see why people get so bent out of shape about this - some people grew up with the Funi dub and think it's the best - that sort of thing is subjective. Though I really like the Japanese dub, Funi are still the first I heard, and will always sound right to me.

I saw some of the Japanese dub before funi but I watched the entire series in funi first, kinda hard not to like it after hearing the same voices for over 200 episodes lol.

I have a friend that won't watch anything to do with Dragonball if it hasn't been dubbed in English. he'll say it doesn't exist....I'm serious btw.

also claimed that the Dragon-boxes were a garbage release because it didn't have the US broadcast score. (As a dub and many other versions fan) I'm glad I don't act like this.

Surprised this hasn't been mentioned yet, but all these people who claim Dragon Ball Z Kai is an edited kidified version of the original just irritate me. It's like they don't know that there are uncut DVDs and THAT THE ORIGINAL DBZ WAS EDITED ON TV, TOO.

Usually from the same group we get people saying that the Faulconer score is the only "real one". While I am certainly a fan of it, it is no more or less real than any other official interpretation. It is not, and never will be the original, however. That would be the Kikuchi score.

Then there's Ocean fanboys trolling and saying their favorite is more "accurate" and "uncut" (I swear I saw a comment like this referring to the Westwood dub the other day). This is only true for DBZ Movies 1-3, not the series. Actually, any bashing of one version for no real reason bugs me.
