Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
I'm thinking that for whatever reason, he chose not to blow up the entire planet. Maybe he mistakenly thinks he can still go over there and get the Dragon Balls or something.

Actually, it seems if you look at the last panel, there's a faint black spot that's right behind the crater. That might be Frieza there.

I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Alright, it's official. Goku wrecked Freeza's capital, probably driven mad with grief. Also, according to the mini-comic on the Cold clan's history, Freeza only sought to remain in his true form after Goku beat him. So who beat Goku then? Cooler? Cold? Or did Freeza lose in a suppressed form then roflstomp in his final? Then why did the narrator say he was beaten if he won...?

Hm. So is this like in the anime where everything has supposedly been destroyed before we're informed we have a "5-minute" window before the planet's explosion? 'Cause it looks like Namek's still standing...

This whole chapter felt like black comedy. From Vegeta's bouncing head to Bulma doing a thumbs up while being blown to smithereens, it has this air of silliness.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
This has overall been one of the better specials, even if I still think we should have learned more. Partly because of said black comedy moments.
Anyway, speaking of U8, I just took a glance at that fanfic "One Way" (I didn't read it, but I remembered that Salagir said that would explain how the alternate universes survived King Cold), and the Cold wank is such that even 3rd form King Cold can stomp the shit out of post-Yardrat SS Goku, who was specifically said to be a good deal stronger than he was on Namek. Also, the planet around him is fine. So there's not even the small, weak excuse of Cold not transforming against Trunks due to not being able to control his power, and trying to take out Trunks the other way so he doesn't destroy his ship (which doesn't happen), or his third form not being enough, forcing a process that's too lengthy. He's just really dumb.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
You know, I dunno about anyone else, but I was actually really sad about them all dying like that. I was seriously, SERIOUSLY hoping against hope that Dende would at least be able to say the wish before the planet was blown to smithereens. And Bulma giving a thumbs up while dying? That actually made it more haunting to me when you pair it up with that really dark silhouette of hers.
And now Goku's mind is going to snap only for him to get crushed in the end? I'm actually kind of not looking forward to the next special of this...Of course, I don't think things would've really logically happened this way if Vegeta had, indeed, died on Earth, and King Cold being as strong as he is is still really, really stupid, but still.

Goku shows up goes SSJ and keeps training. Goku tracks Frieza down finally and is able to be the Ginuys, Frieza and maybe Cooler and the armored squadron as well.
Cold shows up and is the one that beats Goku and finally Ginyu switches bodies with cold eventually.
Thats what I think is going to happen.

I just thought of something ... Wouldn't Gohan have sensed Freeza's attack if it's strong enough to wreck the planet?

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
I think Freeza destroy the core of the Planet. He most likely wants to escape on his space ship and that he can head back home before the Planet gets destroy. He won't survive the Planet blown up in his first form since he was barely lucky enough to survive when Namek got blown up in his final form.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Vegeta at 18,000 could blow up planets. Freeza is at 530,000 here. A planet explosion is like a mosquito bite to him.
Also, final form Freeza survived Namek's explosion with no ki left after already taking a direct energy wave to the face from SS Goku.
There's no way Freeza's spaceship survived the blast. Gohan didn't.

How is Freeza going to head back home? Freeza's HQ is light years away and he won't have any way on getting there.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
We have seen how fast he is in his final form. How it translated to flight speed is unknown but seeing as he apparently owns hundreds of planets, flying in his final form shouldn't take him too long to reach some sort of outpost.Hellspawn28 wrote:How is Freeza going to head back home? Not to mention if the Ginyu Force pods are still intact he can just take one of those.
