I don't think Broly's an idiot (maybe Some side effects from mind control), hes just more stupid in power. he thinks he so strong he can just tanks their hits, and he does.

He doesn't do 1 thing that shows he has any intelligence over 3 movies. I'd put it down to his creator. There's no explanation for a 10,000 power level barrier defending against Frieza's SuperNova, that's over 53x stronger than himself, when the same sort of barrier gets smashes to pieces against the Bros Kamehameha which would be nowhere near that much.

Goten being there shouldn't mean that Broly wasn't holding back. He toyed with Goku in movie 8. Yeah he really seems to hate him but it seems like a lot of his odd behavior was just him having to not fight Goku, as soon as he transforms to LSS hes just a typical "I'm gonna kill you all" kind of villain

Broly doesn't start transforming from SS to LSS until after Vegeta attacks him...

And I think Broly was holding back being surpressed throughout the movie, he was toying with everybody the entire time between transforming into LSS and Goku getting all the power from everybody. He easily puts everybody down but doesn't go for any kill shots (except maybe that beam he shoots at Gohan that Piccolo stops), and once he puts someone down he basically just stands there and screams or laughs or moves on to someone else.

I always figured the family Kamehameha was Gohan, Goten, and Goku plus the weird interference from Trunks.

Goku was only there in spirit. He wasn't physically there firing a Kamehameha; the scene makes that pretty clear. He just shows up on Earth immediately, there's no dragon, the rules of the dragon balls say he can't be wished back at this point, and he only uses SS, even though this being the early Buu Saga he should just be able to go SS2 or SS3 and fire a Kamehameha to back up the boys' and insta-kill Broly.

I think that the Family Kamehameha was initially a weakened SS Gohan + SS Goten, which Broly's Omega Blaster handled easily. However, after Goku showed up to give his pep talk, both put out all their power, and Gohan transformed into a SS2. So then it was SS2 Gohan + SS Goten, together packing a power roughly equivalent to enraged SS2 Gohan at the Cell Games. Trunks briefly distracts Broly as a counterpart to Vegeta, and by temporarily dropping his guard for a sec his attack is overtaken by the Kamehameha which then insta-kills him as a counterpart to Cell.

I don't think it was very clear. It also seems to just be a movie inconsistency since don't the dragon balls fly away? I think Goku was there but he wasn't brought back to life, just brought there for a short time. And he could of just been SS because he figured that was enough and wanted the boys to work for it (which fits with his whole wanting others to save the world thing). Plus didn't SS2 Goku not appear yet?

My estimates are:

Movie 8 Broly: Above Semi-Perfect Cell, but below Resting Perfect Cell. I believe all the Z-senshi being around the level of Semi-Perfect Cell, hence why they fail badly, but still survive multiple hits. The power difference is like between Piccolo and Imperfect Cell with humans absorbed.
So if we have:

Semi-Perfect Cell: 1
Resting Perfect Cell: 3
Broly: 2
Goku, Gohan, Vegeta and Piccolo: 1

Hence why a single hit didn't kill them, but they still fared badly.

Movie 10 Broly: Around Super Perfect Cell.

Perfect Cell (max power): 1.2
Super Perfect Cell: 2,5
SSJ2 Gohan (Cell Games): 3,0
Broly: 2,5
SSJ2 Gohan (movie): 2,0

This fits, as Gohan didn't do all that bad, but still lost.

Also, Broly is a large chunk of muscle, so he is much tougher than most Saiya-jins.

Yeah but I don't take any of the DBZ Games seriously. Otherwise, you would end up with something like SSJ Gogeta ~ LSSJ Broly which we all know is ridiculous and absurd.

I have Super Buu half of Buutenks because I have Buutenks simply being SSJ3 Gotenks + Super Buu with no multiplier whatsoever. (the Namekian is too weak to matter).

Depends on how much of a boost you have the ROSaT giving the boys but I personally have SSJ Gotenks >> LSSJ3 Broly > Fat Buu

Personally, I can see Broly with a little advantage over SSJ Gotenks but I don't see LSSJ3 Broly being special like people make him out to be.

SSJ Gogeta would stomp LSSJ3 Broly with ease as a matter of fact.
