Turtle Hermit and Kai Symbol

Post by LordCrumb » Tue Apr 15, 2014 3:21 am

Hey guys, does anyone have a HQ Turtle Hermit and Kai symbol in PNG or JPG format?

If you have the Crane School / Master Shen too, that would be an added bonus :)

Thanks in advance!

No one at all? Even a good scan would do.. something I could try and re-build in Photoshop?

If by "Turtle Hermit symbol" you mean the kame kanji, then all you have to do is find a japanese/chinese font for PS and make this sign (using the type tool): "亀" as big as possible. Since glyphs are encoded in Bezier curves, you should get this in as big a resolution as you want. The same will work for the Kai kanji: "改".

When you say Japanese font, do you mean in the style of Japanese writing? something like this? http://www.fontspace.com/juan-casco/ming-imperial

I think I got it.. ? Thanks! The Kai symbol doesn't look like King Kais one though, but i shall try some more symbols.

That is because it's the Dragon Ball Kai symbol, meaning "refreshed".

Kaio's symbol won't be as easy for you to do, as it's actually two stylized symbols stacked atop one another. Kai (world) = 界 and O (king) = 王.

By the way, much a I hate using the DB wikia, they got this thing more or less right: list of symbols - you can take the individual kanji from there.

I wanna nice quality scan too. I was thinking about getting a DB related tattoo and that is a great choice.

But what for would you need scans? I have already explained that all you need is a Japanese font - then you can make the kanji as big as you want. The only one for which this approach wouldn't work is Kaio - because, as TheDevilsCorpse has explained, it's not one sign but two (and they both are stylised in a way that makes them look like a single one).
